Its one of those things where the vocal few tend to fuck things up for everyone. I think largely you’d find most people are really cool with each other, just some people think they are hot shit for some reason even though they are playing a video game competitively. It is my that hope new players don’t get discouraged by the elitists who aren’t even elite
Frisco I really hope you don’t quit, you play a nasty blanka and I’d like to see you keep working on that, but you do what ya gotta.
I find for the most part most are cool. Trophy, Connor, Mr. Sagat, etc were all helpful to me and actually enriched my experience at GO rather than taking away from it. Though, I did hear a bit of the personal trash talking last saturday, and to bring it to a place like GO where we’re all trying to have fun and get better at a game is a poor display of sportsmanship in my opinion.
Sup SRK,
This is Bigg Gee, We all have fun on our Saturday SF4 Tournaments. Talking shit is part of the game, Cheering your buddies on is part of the game, and EVERYBODY has been the new guy once!! But what’s important to remember is that we’re all part of the Vegas Street fighter Community, and there is always somebody out there better then ****YOU.We’re all gonna talk shit, we all think we are the best, but we don’t wanna make people feel uncomfortable either. Without good competition none of us can get any better. So lets have fun guys, dont get butt hurt if somebodys talking smack, Just bring your AAA game next time.
See ya next Saturday , Postings will be up by Tuesday.:nunchuck:
Hey, big ups to GO once again. Great tourney and great hospitality. Sorry if I was yellin random garbage out, I was just tryin to take wes’s general hype trash talking to a new filipino level.
Mno+Rice: GG’s guys. I just got lucky. Both your rog’s are beasts.
xcrisco, yeah definitely wouldn’t suggest you quit. You get pretty far and you and your boys are improving a lot. But if u really don’t like the game, oh yeah then quit cause I know it’s shitty to play a game u don’t like. But I’d say put up with at least to evo and see how u do there.
If people are trying to pick up GG, I haven’t fucking played it in like 2years, but I have to relearn it for evo. So if anyone is trying to learn it or needs help I’ll be glad to help out. And if anyone has questions in SF4 please ask, I’ll help out. I feel I have a good grasp over the game.
(2) what drama? i think the game is terrible as well, but do what you want. if you’re stopping because i’m talking shit, that is a serious shame and very telling about some of the new people not being able to put up with outside forces. i really have no idea what drama exists that you’re talking about. drama is something people use to describe a genre of movies and high-tension situations in high school. people go, pay money, play the game, there’s a winner. along the way there’s always going to be some sort of disagreement because it is a tournament of competitive nature.
As we all know, competitive bowling is a very stressful career. So again, please excuse HHZ’s words/actions on behalf of the majority of the community.
BIGGEE doesn’t care too much about shit talk, as you can see how Brian is, LAUGHING OUT LOUD. But when the talk is ascended to a level of personal/physical, then one can be banned from GO.
So xfrisco, don’t worry about HHZ. You’re welcome to any get together/tournament in Las Vegas, NV.
Also this is an open challenge to anyone but Peter Dong Suh and Daniel Camiseta Realyvaquez. 3s Money Match, you pick my character from the following:
Ryu
Ken
Chun Li
Urien
Necro
Hugo
Sean*
Twelve*
Akuma
Elena
*= difference in odds may apply.
Also, Joshua Luera and I are to have a CVS2 MM soon, with a slight stipulation on his end that will defend his integrity in the game.
