@ chun: about the bat top, if you are using the JLF in that TE stick then you need to get a Sanwa bat top and an adapter since the bats are made for their JLW series. I’m doing the same thing on my ex2 once I get the parts as well.

Thanks for the info. I’ll grab those parts from Lizards once they’re back open. Since it is so simple I’ll take care or the gates myself and I can’t imagine it is anything too tough but let m know if there is anything funky about switching the ball for a bat.
I seriously need to change these things out, I can’t control either HDR or IV with the square gate. Hitting the corners no problem yeah but I can’t tell you how many times I have jumped when I went to walk or jumped forward when I meant to go straight up and Chun’s half circle back, ACK! I don’t know how people effectively use square gates.
Changing to a bat? I just want to the thing to feel a little less like a toy and more like the US arcade cabs. I gota say though, I am loving how sensitive this thing is above even my custom.

Yeah you should be able to handle that no problem, but if it gives you any trouble let me know. Just as a heads up, it voids your warranty once you open it up. But I may pick one up myself once they get back in stock around April. Square gate or not they still got a nice feel to um.

Yeah I figured about the warranty but I have to make it playable for me. Don’t get me wrong it does feel great and the response of the buttons are sick. I just make too many small mistakes with the stick and the gate really messes up my motions. I think I will pick up a round and octagonal gate just to be sure. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah the octo gate will definitely make it better. I was just saying as a heads up since it is Mad Catz and all. The fightsticks had a bunch of initial problems, but so far the TE sticks seems to be kosher so you should be fine doing this. Actually if you want I got my parts coming from lizard lick soon and I ordered an octo gate and a white bat top so if you’re gonna be down at GO most Saturdays then I figured it would be better to have a supped up TE stick we could all use than a slightly upgraded EX2.
Oh snap. Wonder if this would actually convince Felix to bother hanging with us?
