I agree man…shout out to those of us who’ve mained Vega since early 2009 in SF Vanilla. And have dealt with all his weaknesses. Ignore those faggots, look at SFxT Vega as our reward man. It’s not like the bandwaggoners can beat us anyway, they don’t know the meaning of being loyal to a character. Vega has became apart of me almost…sounds weird but it’s the truth.

I checked two characters grabs and they were 7 so I am guessing that everyone’s grabs are 7 frames.

I don’t want the masses to flock to Vega because they wont be playing him for the same reason i do, but nevertheless i cannot wait to try him out.

Yes c. mp has been nerfed. It doesn’t reach as far. none of his pokes do.

Yeah I figured the heavy rolls are unsafe, that’s fine. You have to tag out of the non-ex rolls, then. That’s ok, since your mixups post-roll-tag are pretty good, no matter who you’re using, since the blockstun is essentially as big as tag-moves get. Huge corner carry too.

Yeah they changed Vega to have better options up close. He’s better when he’s up against people. Still gets screwed by rushdown, no invincible AA.

EX SHC is also not fireball invincible but you get combos off it and it appears to be pretty safe.

Charge-cancelling sky high claw out of your normals is REALLY useful though, it makes your footsie game incredibly mobile. Same with using chains to cancel into EX Roll.

Right now I’m using Vega-King, that’s a huge-damage, self-sustaining offensive team with safe jumps off of basically every hit I land. Any time I hit someone I get a guarantee at an untechable knockdown. Seems like my kind of deal, I like King a lot. I don’t think he’s THAT good though.

Vega is probably among the high tier because his pokes are so good. You’ll win a lot of footsie battles and you’ll do a ton of damage. Plus FBA is REALLY unpredictable in this game. Roll is the best move in the game for tagging out I think. You have to be careful with footsies though, it’s the same as SF4, less is more, and delicacy is ideal. You choose when to press buttons properly you’ll win a lot of matchups.

Other stuff I noticed:

They switched the j. mk moves. Triangle mk in SFIV is vertical and Vice versa. That’s actually great since j. mp and j. mk shared a niche in Super and new digonal j. mk can still cover it, but i do miss neutral jump mk. Still have neutral jump HK though.

Cosmic heel seems very fast and not essentially a footsie move. It’s hitbox is very high up and it seems entirely possible everyone can crouch under it. Factor the poor hitbox in with the fact that teching throws is not a main point of defense in this game and it becomes obvious quickly that cosmic heel is a good punish move. You can do cosmic heel, c. mp, ST tag, and do a good combo for 400 damage with King, with untechable knockdown. Try walking under jump arcs and punishing with CH.

Piece of mercury is the same. And now it combos. Thumbs up i guess.

St. LK is probably your best footsie move.

That’s great that cl. mk is + on block now. I bet doing strings into cl. mk for chaining on the 2nd hit might not be that unsafe? I’ve been doing a lot of st. lk, c. lp xx c. mk to harass people. Just generally trying to mix it up.

And yeah like I said earlier, i ought to reiterate, charging SHC and dashing out of your special moves is soooo useful. get used to moving around doing that

Yeah, vertical j. mk from SFIV (just about 90 degree angle horizontal kick) is now diagonal jump mk.

Diagonal j. mk (perfectly 90 degree horizontal kick) is now vertical jump mk.

Vega doesn’t seem to have as much control with his wall dive. Too bad Sky High Claw is his charge move as opposed to FBA or even RCF.

Throws in this game suck. Except air throws.

Vega’s gonna be handy for slower characters. Definitely the point man.

Given that he still has the ex RCF loop wouldn’t two reps + tag cancel get opponents dangerously close to the wall?

its pedo, BTW, is the game good? Does it have the potential for characters to evolve into multiple styles, or is it land locked like SF4 was? or is it like marvel where changing a character from the team will drastically change the dynamics an individual character.
