Unless “Remy” is announced at the PGW, I’ll play Vega on that lastest build and I’ll try to tell you every changes I’ll see.
I’ll go there for 3 tournaments : wecnesday, saturday and sunday.
How many Vegas did you all run into in the beta? I only ran into one while playing as Nash. Never had a Vega mirror. I played at least 50 matches and only lost once to a Karin player.
I think the beta certainly dispels some fears that there would be tons of Vega players now that he is motion. Although don’t get too comfortable, word of Vega’s beastliness has already began to spread.
I’m sure people are gonna be cracking out the crack to see what was not discovered. Ryu might be one of those characters where you may find something later on that really adds to his combo or footsie game.
I think the real power of Switch Claw comes from on block. If you suspect they’re gonna try to jab after SC, cLK will counter-hit and can be linked to stLK > cMP xx. If they sit on d/b then command grab is free.
I just can’t see it, they took out the most inane stupid shit , cr fierce link after f fierce ? Ex srk after light tatsu in corner? No tatsu hitting crouchers? The only thing he has now is the same v trigger combo off of different normals? Hell can he even juggle off of jump mp now? Lol
You could be right he could still be good, but he’s just not my cup of tea, I’m not a combo monster but I like a little more variety. Only thing I get is the St mp Into sweep
Newer players are afraid of large, nuanced moves list. Learned this after playing KI for 2 years and seeing numerous learning players complaining that characters moves lists were too large or had character specific resources. He also has no reversal which is instant turn off for impatient beginner or intermediate players
Learned that the hard way on Day 1. EX Throw is okay, it’s not his best option right now. But it’s decent mixup off of a tick st.HP or cr.MP/st.MP. Pretty sure everyone can mash crouching Jab out of that setup in this build.
