“The crHK thing could be fixed pretty easily by adjusting Vega’s pushbox upwards and back a little like they did with Elena during her spin kicks but** that risks the issue of making Vega no longer go under some moves you want it to avoid if they have a pushbox that might getin the way.**”
On another note, is it a very little known thing that if your roll trades with opponent’s airborne move, you can juggle ex.ST for free? Cause I’ve realised noone does it. I guess someday Zeus will do it live and commentators will go “omg Zeus found something new” just like when he did two CHs to ex.ST.
i actually do that all the time. it’s not hard to react to once you get the hang of it. also lp roll counterhit to cr.mp, i love that shit. for some reason though, i can’t do it as consistently as i once could, because of that stupid thing capcom did to make it not work in the previous patches.
I see, thank you. The damage output probably isn’t enough of a reason to take the risk to drop the 2nd CH, I’d rather do something more reliable. Or, maybe I just suck Either way, I’ll test it out.
Mostly it can only be done when you hit CH with the tip or on an airborne opponent. Against slow falling or large opponents you can do it from point blank. In any case that you can do 2 CHs-ex.ST you should instead do CH-lk.ST-ex.ST which makes more damage and more stun.
CH- hk.ST does 240 dam- 300 stun
CH- ex.ST does 260 dam- 350 stun
CH-CH-ex.ST does 248 dam- 320 stun
CH- lk.ST- ex.ST does 268 dam- 378 stun
reason to do 2 CH into ex st is because if you do one when your opponent is very high and very close to you, you’ll go under him and lose charge, then he falls back into the other direction again. i never trained for it because it rarely happens to me though, but when it does happen, i always wonder how to train for it.
Probably do the first down forward, then hold down back, hit HK again for the 2nd CH and then go to down back in the opposite direction for ST charge. It’s one less motion to do but you have to get into the habit of switching sides mentally. I should try it in training just in case, but I have other things to work on.
