this is so cool i wish it worked on more than cody and vega.
About the last video posted:
Since you are dashing foward and ending up on the other side, can’t you reset it with c.HP xx EX RFC? (dash foward then hold the foward motion wich then becomes back-charge?)
RCF charge, like wine, takes many years to mature. You have not the time.
Its only going to be 50 frames soon… Will make it much easier to build a crouching charge, quickly stand then HP to RCF. Not to mention jump ins as well. and post focus.
So I’m a bit unclear… will the super actually hit on the way up ala ex fba and u1? Meaning we will be able to RELIABLY combo into the super (CH anyone?) Hell if it hits on way up wouldn’t just canceling a normal be effective?
Yes to all points, plus it keeps most of its damage (from 100-100-200 to 100-100-100-100 with scaling).
Get hype
hi guys,
i wonder if st.hp - cr.mp xx super will be possible?
at the very least we should be able to combo into super from rcf
Yes, it is. clHP crMP xx Super works.
(are you thinking in getting back, though?)
thanks Haztlan, ultra vega seems like a lot of fun
i will mess around with the game but most likely not play competitively
Makoto? Check. Tatsu? Check.
Looks like there is only Jozhear missing - i’s like 2010
far lk, cr.lp, cr.mp x super works as well, so cl.mk, cl.mk, cr.lp, cr.mp x super as well. it’s hard, but the swag factor is just…overwhelming.
Hey messing around in training mode, and the combo damage is based off of full health and full Ultra.

hmm it seems that both h.rcf and ex.rcf share the same start up and damage output… so
st.hp xx h.rcf xx red focus cancel lv1 -> Ultra
will have the same damage as the ex.rcf… Better save that last ex bar since red cancel takes 3 =o
And cr.mk xx super is so beast, gives claw that sexy 3s style hit confirm
Amazing set of data, thanks for that man!
So technically, the go-to combo after a cross-up j.lk when you have no meter is cl.mk cr.hp?
Edit:
I did some test in training move, here is combo I did without meter:
cl.mk cr.HP --> 180 dmg
cl.mk cr.lp light rolling --> 188 dmg
cl.mk cr.lp HK --> 188 dmg
cl.mk lk HK --> 198 dmg
cl.mk lk cr.hp --> 198 dmg
j.lk should roughly add 10 dmg to these combo
cr.mp can’t combo in anything
heavy scarlet terror doesn’t combo either
You can’t ligh rolling crystal after more than one attack following cl.mk apparently.
Nope, it’s clMK,crMPxxlRCF.
Doesn’t work on Gulie, Chun, Vega and El Fuerte though, there you should go with crLP.
No, THIS is the most damaging and stunning meterless cross-up combo:
Cross-up ji.LK / cl.MK, cr.LP, cr.LP xx HK ST
251 damage / 345 stun
Works on:
Standing
Abel
Akuma (EX ST only)
Balrog
C. Viper (EX ST only)
Cammy (EX ST only)
Chun-Li (EX ST only)
Cody (EX ST only)
Dee Jay (EX ST only)
Dhalsim
El Fuerte (EX ST only)
Elena (EX ST only)
Gen (EX ST only)
Gouken (EX ST only)
Guile
Hakan (EX ST only)
Ibuki (EX ST only)
Juri
Oni (EX ST only)
Poison
Rolento
Rufus
Sagat
Seth
T. Hawk
Vega
Yang (EX ST only)
Yun (EX ST only)
Zangief
Crouching
Nobody
Standing/Crouching
Hugo
As far as character specific combos, this is pretty generous (well, when counting the EX ST only ones too). And unlike cross-up ji.LK / cl.MK, cr.MP xx LP RCF, you can do this in the corner. Using the LP RCF combo in the corner, you don’t spend enough time crossing over the opponent, therefore you don’t have enough charge time for the LP RCF.
With an EX ST instead, you’ll do 263 damage / 375 stun.
And on standing Hugo, you can do:
Cross-up ji.LK / cl.MK, cr.LP, cr.LP xx LK ST, EX ST
270 damage / 390 stun
Edit: double post.
I’ve discovered that if you do the Super with hk and do the slashes instead of grab, the fourth slash comes out faster than when you do it with mk or lk. What kind of strangeness is that?
So, the other day in training, I was mashing down on st.Mk and noticed it moved me closer to the opponent little by little. st.MK was the only normal that did it. So if you st.MK from a distance and do it quickly again, he’ll inch closer and possibly hit your opponent in the footsie game. How fucking weird is that? Letting it fully recover won’t inch him closer.
You can quickly do any number of other normal attacks after st.MK, such as st.HK, cr.LP, cr.MP to tag the opponent if they think you might still be outside their hurt range.
Has this been posted before? I didn’t even know what I would search for to see if it has.
