Vega Combos & Glitches

My combos are:

  1. cHP~dMP~EX-Barcelona~Izuna for punishing any whiffed or blocked SRK type move, when I have EX. It hits big characters like Zangief, Abel, Sagat. But the ExBarcelona will missed Ken and smaller.
  2. dfHK~EX-Barcelona~Izuna for characters combo #1 misses on the 1st situation.
  3. LK~LK~dMP. Useful for poking too. Vega can do more LKs for cornering pressure and zoning for throws.
  4. dMK~dLP~EX-Barcelona~Izuna. Spot on range.

Question: What the “xx” in the first post of this topic means? And why there are combo with ub+button? (Jump back+attack?)

On jump ins I’ve been whoring FP->cr.Forward->RH.Scarlet Terror.

The 10 games or so I played tonight were some of the most well rounded games I’ve played yet from the standpoint of using throw for AA, and the above combo on jump ins and not reverting back to j.fp->cr.medium. Pokes, the whole 9. For some reason I had a tendency to forget all about that combo if I was concentrating on air throwing.

and the :ub: means what it says. Jump in Hp, Jump back hp.

Looking forward to Bebop’s earth shattering Vega discovery. Hope it works, I could definitely use a new tactic for my arsenal, as I’m sure we all could.

honestly, i couldn’t tell you why it happens, i just know it does.

hitting deep with :hk: or :hp: causes this weird glitch, nullifying the c:hk: follow-up by making claw go directly through the character. so…no combo and vulnerable claw, poor claw.

It’s kinda lame(to say the least) to go for a slide after you land a jumping hp/hk deep. So i can’t see a problem here,actually.

I’m not sure if this was stated earier, and it doesn’t have much use, but Vega’s claw takes about 510 (refresh-able) damage before it falls off. But this is under the condtion of being hit. I think under block each attack does 5 less points towards the claw. I forgot what the mask’s point total is…

i would contend that total knowledge of your main character versus the lack thereof is what is lame. i was hesitant to talk about it considering it adds to claws shortcomings, but knowing and understanding your character…the good, bad and the “lame,” will give you the tools to exceed expectations.
