Vega Beginner's Guide

I guess, but I think I’m just maskpalming a lot because when I mention simple things like “Don’t walldive” and “I can see when you’re going to poke because you’re reacting to everything I do with cr.MP…DONT DO IT.” Just…don’t register sigh I guess I just need to be patient. It’ll take more than a few matches for it to sink in I think.
Since Walldiving in a mirror is bad, I try to convey that by punishing heavily when they do it, same goes for cr.MP mashing and guh, I don’t know.

seems patience is what you need right now, just remember that you learned all that stuff within 2 years of playing S/SF4, you cant force all of it on the dude in 1 day xD
there’s also one more thing you need to check, do they have enough interest? coz you’re fuckin hardcore and not alot of people like going as far as learning every single frame for a FG… just a simple question might solve that and let you know what you should be focusing on and stuff like that.

Well, he said he wants to be part of Team Vega and wants to be good at the game.
so I guess that’s enough for me to teach.

It’s just little things. Like mentioning to tone down on throwing cr.MP out so carelessly is so far one of the first hurdles they’re trying to overcome. It’s a little frustrating having to drum it into their head by CH-ing them everytime they do it haha.

Nice guide. Enjoyable read.

Thanks ^^

I know I’ve missed/done something wrong here and I really can’t put my finger on it so please;
Have at it: Dancing with the Claw - For Intermediates - Part II

With the help of Ajunta, I have updated the Okizeme article.
Now with more meat in your diet!

Thank you for the gr8 article, really helpfull and a gr8 read!

Please continue your work with the Vega Guide, it really motivates people to continue to play with him

I was told by someone at my local arcade tonight, quite specificially, that I don’t play enough oki games. Using f.s.LK had never, ever occured to me, I’ll be sure to try it ASAP.

I’m actually surprised people are still reading this. I was debating on continuing because I thought no one was actually bothering with it anymore haha.

And yeah, I use st.lk > Kara throw a lot in my games.

Ahahahah no way xP Please keep it up, u’ll make my Vega sad if u dont ;’<

Btw after hitting an EX FBA, c.mk then goin for j.HK + options selects is so good, making Vega’s mixup game lethal.

I thought with a charge char i was limited on my OS’s, apparently i didn’t knew that much about my char ^^’’

Aye, it’s quite fun. I use a pretty standard OS in my games haha.
cr.lp, (cr.HK/df.HK), cr.lp, cr.mp.

But I’m not doing OS’s until I get to advanced, because IMO frame traps and OS are quite that.

Just wanted to take the time to thank evrybody who made this guide, especially Francys Pai who has written evrything up.

Have just read though it once so far, had planned to practice some today following the guides guide lines (thats sounds quircky^^). But had 2 children climbing all over me so will have to wait till tomorrov. Speak of the devil, have one climbing all over the keyboard here now also.

Just wanted to express my gratitude

Right people.

For a few articles, I’ve been asking Ajunta to read over and help me out with things I may have missed. I appreciate what you do Ajunta, honestly, but I feel awful always coming to you and asking you to take time out of your day to do this for me.

So. Is anyone else who is knowledgeable in how Vega works interested in being a beta reader of sorts for me aswell? Raise your hands if so because I’m only human, I miss a few things here and there when writing my articles and they’re certainly going to need revamping in 3 weeks.

i can do it <.<
(i know you msg’d me one of them a while back, but i real busy at that time so i couldnt read it >.<)

send it my way, I’m curious.

twirl twirl twirl. Toss rose

good stuff here. It’s a good refresher course for me and a must read for any vega player. Fantastic stuff

Now up. Quite frankly, would like a LOT of input here. Kara throwing is a very touch and go subject since there’s no true time to use these things, merely setups and hope for the best.
I couldn’t really put anything in there without using my own playstyle as an example (which I opted not to do, I want you to create your own style, not copy mine).

a general rule for set ups…

Kara throws can be effective off any move that leaves you at +1 or better… or as an anti-poking tool

PEOPLE.

I need opinions.
At the end of the month, I’m considering moving domains to another blog name. Possibly counterhit.blogspot.com if it’s available.

Should I keep with this or should I use another name? If the latter, any suggestions?
