Yes. But this one is almost universal. And you don’t need to go for the ass juggle of CH > Slide to do it. It’s not even a reset, it’s just a mix up in case they don’t want to block the safejump.
The timing to nail the CH in the funny direction is not that easy, that’s why I said that I don’t think this setup is that solid. I can get like 70% of the time. But I remember testing that one that Makoto did (CH crHK against Sim in the corner) and I remember it was much more difficult.
Anyway, it’s just another way to potentially steal away one round.
Nice, some easy new tech that late in the lifespan of the game.
Reiketsu apparently knew about that too and used it in his first match, second round vs. Gackt at Shadowloo Showdon. Unfortunately there you can also see why this is not bulletproof - If the opponent quickstands and has a reversal…
That setup is a 4f safejump that is used since Vanilla SF4. Reiketsu could block the reversal, but he didn’t because, well, I have no fucking idea.
Maybe he didn’t believed that Gackt would go for wake up DP on a telegraphed safe jump and was holding forward already to the next mixup?
I used FrameTrapped so that I finally could figure out how hard is to CH U2 each character in a scientific way and not in an empirical way.
The number after the tier is the maximum amount of frames that you have to activate U2 after you pressed dfHK (everything here is for grounded-point blank), so the bigger the number, the easier to juggle.

IMO only characters from tier B and C you can use it from point blank consistently, A, S and S+ you’re definetely better off just trying if is a meaty (well spaced) CH.
Quite the contrary. CH U2 point blank is the hardest CH U2 there is. You can (and should) CH U2 when its well spaced as its way easier.
A meaty CH U2 on Blanka is as easy as a point blank CH U2 on Boxer, for example.
My bad, I was thinking meaty being point blank, not meaty at the tip. I was a bit confused as I thought hitting with the first active frame would create too many recovery frames to balance out the start up of U2. Yeah, I’ll never be able to pull that off reliably, lol.
