I’m running Vista, and clicking the shortcut in the main folder causes the game to open but quickly close. However, if you go to the data folder and run the .exe directly, the game runs fine. That’s how it worked for me, anyway. As for regional settings, my computer’s region was already set to Japanese. If you don’t want to change your entire computer’s settings, try using Mircosoft AppLocale to change to region just for the game and see if that works.
The game’s got a lot of flair. I’ll leave the gameplay dissection up to you guys.
I wanted to capture Nasumi’s 6B 2C 22D loop after her rekkas, but my computer is too shitty to record videos while I play the game fullscreen. It’s kind of a bitch to do links when you get 20-30 FPS while recording.
360 drivers interpret 360 sticks (which use the d-pad inputs) as POV hats. your TE should have a switch that lets you switch the stick control to left stick (or right stick, but that’s not relevant). Switch to that and it should work.
TE maps to the PoV hat. most donjon games don’t support the hat. Get joy2key or xpadder or something. Or maybe try switching the stick to one of the analog sticks or dpad
So most of the time when I rag on these games for being too anime or w/e its mostly a joke, but this game I actually have difficulty playing. There’s just way too many panty shots and sexualized lolis. It definitely looks gorgeous, there’s a lot of little touches like blur effects and such that I really appreciate.
At the moment I haven’t really figured out how this game plays. You get a character and a choice of one of 4 assists. ABC are normals, D is assist blah blah I’m sure there was a systems FAQ pic somewhere. Normals do not cancel into specials or each other. Of the three characters I’ve tried one could link a special off a single close normal but that’s about it. I can’t really see the game working like that, so I assume you use assists to make blockstrings, force mistakes and continue combos.
I don’t get why there is a need for air recovery in this game, but its there. Throws are like CvS2, there’s a parry. Yeah that’s about all I have.
Oh, I forgot to add; the gun girl is really really cool to play. Bit like KoF Jhun, very interesting. I’m going to play her more even though she looks horrible x_x
Yeah combos are hard to find so I’m guessing the use of assists will definitely play a large role. The standard 2-in-1 doesn’t really exist. So I’m kinda lost right now.
