Not an updated one. The patches obsoleted a lot of combos. You can find most of the character’s bnb’s on niconico match videos though. Or just ask.
So is there a newer release of this game than 2009.8.17 Ver1.03. Or are all these new moves were seeing for future releases.
Those are for future releases. I don’t think it’s the upcoming patch though.

I can’t get the game to work at all! I got my regional settings set to japanese, but whenever I try to start the game, it’ll open, then immediately shut down. i don’t even get to see a logo. It makes me sad. :sad:
You need some more programs. Check the wiki for instructions.
Damn dint know that the game has been updated, dunno wich version have right now but dont care at least the Playable Hilda Mod works very fine on it, just find it today :yawn:

is there anyway I can make lunaport run it with applocale?
or is changing the regional setting the only way?
One more thing, must I have the IP address of my opponent?
Can I not simply play against some random bloke the way we used to with winkawaks?

Yes, the patches have made many of the most ridiculous combos impossible.
Running lunaport with applocale didn’t work for me. I had to set japanese locale.
Right now I can play with Hilda but what do I need to do to have this characters on my side ?
You choose Random as your Assist.
And if lucky, you will get the Boss.
Go to random select and just happen to stop it at the right moment.

Now is a patch for 1.03 who overwrites files… i dont have time to test it now but i updated the first post.
It only has two character files in the patch.
Kurumi, of course, and “Katejina” ???, whoever/whatever that is.
Damn I was using the first version until today that finally downloaded the Unofficial 1.03b “English” version, can somebody please tell me why is named “English” ? also can I apply the 1.4 patch to this version or it has to be to the original one ?
Guys, don’t just trust the online translator, try to learn some Japanese…
the “1.04 patch” on the official site is for Ver 1.04 
You have to download the complete 1.04 version here(the vector download site is not updated yet):
unzip it, then download the “1.04 patch” on official homepage and unpack the two files inside (???.player and ???.player) to replace the ones in the 1.04 folder.
Then you can start enjoying the 1.04 version (Don’t forget to use NTLEA)
As for your first question, the reason why we have to use NTLEA or change the language setting is simply because the files in the game folder are named with Japanese, so when this game runs in English windows system, it can not read the file name properly(e.g. the “???” will be recognized as “???”) and can not find the key files to run the game. So if you run the game directly it can not work. The so called “English version” is made by changing all the files’ names into some forms that the english operating system can read directly.
