Seems like there are 4 different factions in Vanguard Princess. Each representing a group/motif. The only exception is Hilda and Kaede.

Luna/Natalia - Blade Noa (A military academy/group that lacks Vanguard magic tech and instead relies on their mechanical soldiers and technology, Shiela is their successful creation of a vanguard)

Yui/Ayane - Kutsuna-musou school (An tradition asiatic school that focuses on the way of the sword, currently at odds with the school that Haruka and Saki goes to. Lillith seems to live there as well, possible sponsorship by Satan? Thier Patron Vanguard is of course Eko)

Haruka/Saki - Random French All Girls School for the magically gifted (Magic flows through this school like water and Saki and Haruka live in this school for different reasons. Lillith also lives here with Juliet as her servant)

Eri/Kurumi - Random Junior High for Magically Gifted Refugees (A school founded by those whom oppose the government’s efforts to abduct them for sinister purposes. The school is carefree and is in a perpetual state of summer. Pool and cheerleading are the most popular things. Kanae is the vanguard of this school)

Even if long combos on VP are not so usefull since there are assist characters.

So what is up with Lilith anyway? I’d like to see what her ending translates to. Do people believe she’s a descendant of Satan after all that or not? Is she an evil character or does she just want the bragging rights? Was she just lying about it the whole time to get attention?

I also get the feeling the Natalia vs Lilith fight in story mode would probably go along the lines of a religious flame war ending in a battle between pilebunker and piledriver.

Wow. But…is it normal that the combo counter doesn’t reset when the opponent is stunned? :confused: And lol at the miniscule damage she was dealing after the 15th hit (did the super deal any damage at all?). :lol:

Why wouldn’t it? The combo actually stops for a second or two, it’s not like she is stunned but Luna keeps her in the air or something.

She can’t block or do anything to escape, so it’s a combo.

So try this semi-unblockable corner oki setup.
Yui/Kanae: Any Knockdown in the corner > 2D > 236E

Basically you’re doing oki super, and 2D assist will grab them even though they are blocking, and the end of the super catches them out of the dog for big damage. The super alone does around 42% but with this setup, you can get around 65%.

Only thing to note is 2D can be 4D’d and any kind of wakeup assist can knock you out of the super. So be sure they can’t use their assist. And also note that you can get out of the setup with SHORYUKEN.

Considering that there are a couple of seconds where the combo counter doesn’t go up and Luna doesn’t hit her opponent you could say that the combo stops for a second or two. :razzy:

Hitting multiple times your opponent with a chain of attacks that (normally) leaves them unable to escape. I understand what you say but since normally combos are continuous strings of attacks it strikes me as odd, if you make two strings separate by a pause it makes it look like two combos, not one. I guess it makes sense in regards of damage scaling but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen this happening.

I haven’t played KoFXI, but common sense dictates that if you can escape it’s not a real combo, like a combo where you air tech your way out, or breakerable combos in BR, or something like that.
