I stand corrected. “Half” was an understatement on my part.
WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT?!?!?!??!?!? :wow:
Apparently the super wasn’t good enough.

I don’t like Kaede much for some reason. Though she seems like a very good character.
I am slowly getting over Natalia’s character design. the huge thighs and boobs are bothering me less and less the more I play her.
H-F’s Golden Rule of Playing Kaede: Air throw is your friend.
The range on her air throw is absolutely disgusting. While I was playing, I kinda noticed that there’s some ghetto option select with it. Jump in with j.C like normal while holding [4]. If they jump, you’ll air throw them really close to the ground. If they block, you just connected a jump-in. :looney:
It turns out there is a glitch that allows you to create unblockables during super flash. Everyone can do this in some form or another but the best ones seem to be for Ayane and Luna.
The way it works is as follows: You have to set an assist, then do a super. during the flash, your assist continues its’ actions. Make it so the assist hits the opponent during the super flash.
Because no input is accepted during flash, if the opponent is not already holding back or downback, they cant block the assist, and it will combo into the super.
Ayane’s setup for this: command throw 5C 6D 236A 236A 236C. Dash to just outside of the opponent’s poke range. Press Eko 3D and as soon as they wake up completely do 214B+C. If they do anything other than block they get hit for a combo. If they do successfully block you can use 2C or 214C to mix up off the raining super arrows.
Luna’s setup for this is to just get into a stance right before super, sheira 6D and time the super so the 6D hits during flash.
It works well for Natalia too.
VP Style guard breaks? xD
fighter maker engine ruining yet another game
Well remember, it’s still pretty hard to fill up the super meter unless you’re very good at parries, and getting hit with a super is rarely game over at full life. If everyone can do this, I don’t see how it ‘ruins’ the game.
While I like the concept behind that, it’s gonna be one hell of a slippery slope to determine if it breaks the game or not. Its prolly gonna be patched away either way.
In the meantime, It’s too bad this isn’t applicable to Saki’s partner fusion super.
Kurumi’s partner fusion
Saki is the girl with the red sword.
XD. Sorry, I get everyone mixed up but Luna (how can anyone forget her :P) and Haruka (Psycho SWOOOOOOORD).
Yeah Luna is definately the most memorable character for all the wrong reasons XD
I keep accidentally getting Natalia and Hilde confused. because Natalia’s character design TOTALLY looks like she should be called “Hilde”
or “Olga Gutenblaag” or “Helga Swasterbrakken” or something like that.
I’m also starting to really like Haruka. She also deals mad chip damage with her specials. I’d main her instead if Natalia didn’t have a pot buster, invincible super and great mixups.
First post updated.
Haruka is a lot more by the books than everyone else is. That could be perceived as more boring than the other chars, but Haruka is still a lot of fun with that mad keepaway game of hers. Goenitz Tornado-ish light pillars, Warlock Shields, Melt Blast, all really solid keepaway tools. In the case of the shields, I’m wondering if it might be -too- good XP.
looks at spooky’s post
…terrible
Netplay is giving me some serious matchup exposure. Dj_de’s Ayane is pretty good and Godshot’s Lilth continues to make me run in fear.
Which brings up the question, anyone here going to Evo? Are we going to hold a VP powow? Casuals?
Let’s get something going!
By the way, i cant run LunaPort… when i start a mode in LunaPort VP opens buth them i got an “Access violation”.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that the left corner is more prone to corner crossups than the right corner.
Using Saki, if you knock down Eri in the left corner with a 2C (not a throw), you can push her fallen body against the wall and as she gets up, you will cross her up. But this can’t be done using Saki on the right corner. Yui can do it in the left corner with 2C or a throw, but not in the right corner either. However, Eri can do it in both corners. Didn’t test with other characters but wouldn’t be surprised if they crossed up too.
Also Saki’s 22A will crossup in the corners, BUT in the left corner, they will look the other way while the sword is still in the air and in the right corner, they will look the other way only at the end when Saki catches the sword. If they’re holding back in the right corner, it won’t cross up, BUT in the left corner, even if they hold back, it will still cross over.
Oh and I also noticed the super flash freeze with Saki. If you do Sierra’s 6D and Saki’s 236E. Saki will not combo her 236E if it’s performed during hit 3~4-ish of Sierra’s assist. But if you do it at the end of the 4th hit, it will combo. Making me believe that it might work like the super freeze frames in MBAC. The super freezes both characters but if hit, the character is knocked out of the freeze while the other character is still frozen. So in this case, Sierra shoots and hits, Saki super freezes, Sierra knocks the opponent out of freeze, opponent recovers from hit stun, Saki unfreezes and the super gets blocked.
i dont see anything wrong on her :lovin:
Nice Luna combo:
