@ gbursine
Thanks for the link to the Reference Book.
Glad to see more up and coming Savior players on GGPO.
Im here on Vacation in Mexico and well its KOFland…
Ill be back home in a few weeks, so I hope everyone levels up and we can take this game up another level.
funny I think 98 >>>>>> VS.
hope you’re having a blast, can’t wait to play your BBHood and learn some tricks.
I got 0-25ed by his Victor just now.
Alright, more specific Bulleta Q. Anyone have any tips for connecting the dashing jab after a jab? I dunno if I’m doing something wrong or it’s just a really hard link, but I’m having a bitch of a time getting it to work.
it’s just a hard link. but it’s not VERY hard like some of the other 2-3 frame links.
start it with low jab, s.jab, dash jab, jab, low strong xx qcb punch.
note that you CANNOT do [c.lp, s.lp, dash lp] because it will eventually push the opponent back too far. if you want to get close again, you will need to dash LP 2 times (link dash LP, dash LP during combo) or an even harder link which will be dash MP.
Good shit as always. Can do the cr.jab, st.jab xx d.jab consistently.
That makes me even more confused, though. Why couldn’t I get it to work off st.jab, st.jab instead? Was it just in my head or is there an actual difference?
well, ihira told me in all street fighter games it’s easier to link once you stack hits up together. so that’s why you see bishamon players add a few weak attacks before a low strong xx slash. same thing with bulleta low short x 2, c.mp xx qcb punch.
but it’s still very possible to do s.lp, dash lp off of one hit.
Hello VS people. I have been slowly getting back into VS again, and of course now I have a couple of questions. These are all about Demitri.
Most useful combo off of EX Bat Drill?
Best empty air chain? Or is this character specific?
Any basic dos and don’ts anyone wants to share? /me throws a small stone and Magman
Demitri is actually kinda fun to play. At first I shyed away from him because I thought he was not as interesting as the rest of the cast, and of course he still isn’t, but he is def pretty cool.
-
Dash ex DP(requires alot of practice) or basic chain. Though you almost never want to use drill anyway =\
-
Best empty chain is j.lp j.mk when it hits j.hp
-
dont be stupid. Think before attacking but thats just general knowledge. Dont rely on using cross up mk vs smaller characters and dont just toss around fireballs. Dont drill UNLESS using it to build meter and to confuse your opponent. Never use it as an attack. D
Do practice unblockable setups and DO learn when to counter your opponent with demon cradle. Thats pretty much it. anyone can feel free to correct me but i doubt they would.
-
Thanks! I will refrain from drills now.
-
Thanks!
-
Ill try not to lol. Nah but I feel you, you have to be patient as hell with Dem. By unblockable setups, do you mean Midnight bliss setups? I am pretty noob at VS still.
I mean the raging demon unblockable. Midnight pleasure i think it is or something like that
Yup you got it.
I’ve been watching hella Shou vids on youtube and learning that dashing mp link and a few other nifty tricks he does. I’m actually picking stuff up! One question I have is:
In the vid, he would throw, bubble then dash mp (not linking the other hits) and do clk clp until they were caught in the bubble. I know this is Shou we’re talking about, but is that a viable method of catching them?
I’m back on that GGPO, hit me up, looking forward to seeing how lazy my bee is :[
the 1st Mi-Ka-Do tourney of the 1st Vampiyah Game. Morrigan dash in throw loop is too good. And some footage from some guy on Vampiyah and Savior. Don’t know if it’s old but i just happen to stumble upon it on youtube.

Soh85 has more on his page of OG Vampiyah.
Here’s a post I made in the Creative thread over at the unity. I will finishing the rest tomorrow. Enjoy.
One paragraph left…whew.
appreciate the post, cool stuff!
yea nice post, wish capcom would listen (gief grownup playable anita).
Just throwing this out there, for AGing.
I find that doing hk(pinky), hp(ring), mp(middle), lp(index), and lk(thumb) is a very good method of AGing because it feels so natural to hand to drum this way. It only gives a short push, but it’s so easy that it raises the consistence of AGing.
My question is, whats more important, getting far AGs on about a 50%(depending on the player) or getting short techs on probably at 75-80%?
this on stick of course.
