Vampire Savior: advanced link combos & important notes

Who is THE HARDEST to learn character in Vampire Savier? (been hearing Zabel a lot)

Also, does anyone have any links to fba cheats for this game to make a training mode?

From a purely technical standpoint, Zabel.

Yeah, I’d say Zabel too. But keep in mind that while he is the hardest character to learn, he is not THAT hard. To me, the hardest part is remebering your options, because he has so damn much no matter the situation.

So I decided to start playing this due to the fact that I really enjoy Guilty Gear and well a sequel is pretty much green-lighted at this point. I’m really liking it a lot insanely fast oki game makes the game really really damn fun. I’m playing Sasquatch for now but the entire cast interests me a lot if I could play some good players on GGPO to learn some things that would be great. One of our ranbat hosts here in Cleveland has VS on cab so it definitely could get a strong showing here if more people see it being played.

You can ask pretty much anyone in the GGPO room - we’re all pretty helpful!

You can read some here before fighting online: Sasquatch - Vampire Savior Wiki
And enjoy Sas. He is an unstoppable killing machine.

sas is cheap

Oh snap, Kajoq on the Evo stream for HDR!

Fuck Sasquatch and fuck Yoshinori Onoes if he tries to revive this series by making it god awfully slow and full of dumbed down crap like SF4 just so the game could sell in the West.

^This^

Also, another character to look at that is pretty technical is Lei Lei. Tenraiha setups, pendulum cancel to another pendulum, unblockables and all the Crazy IAD stuff too.

You could always play this game should a new DS be released, and it might increase the number of players playing this one.

Yes.

Notice I didn’t say Kajoq’s Lei Lei. :stuck_out_tongue:

Speaking of Kajoq, I was told him and MightyMar were running shit at EVO. Dunno whether to call that a “Cool Story, Bro” or not.

Well Sas got boring after a day of messing with him lol. After trying the entire cast out I really taken a liking to Bulleta and Rikuo.

I personally only shun a few characters in the game like mummy and other low tiers but even those characters are solid. If you pick a character in the top\mid tier, you will be able to do really well. The tiers in this game don’t matter so much because the game is hella balanced. Pick who you like.

As long as you don’t think Rikuo=Guile, then we’re peaches

Yeah Sas got really old for me really fast.
So now I am stuck being free with Bish while I try and adjust to using a character that requires some mote of gaming skill

Also, ggs Epic Beard Man thank you for beating me like 20 straight after I came off a Breakers Revenge streak ahahaha
I learned a bit more about the Gallon match so that’s good, but actually while I am here:

What exactly do I do against Gallon as Bish? My main gripe is just keeping him out of the air, really.

Rikuo is an awesome upper-mid character for learning the game and he plays a serious trap game. His execution is medium fare but his playstyle is intense and requires bravery. You have to do bubble traps, spacing for gas and soundwaves, and mix-up command throws on top of VS standard fare rushdown. He is an anomaly within a game smitten with rushdown characters. Just don’t expect his set of skills to transfer well with other characters.

Bulleta isn’t easy either. Her advanced links are heart-breakingly difficult when compared sf4 bs. Plus, her motives are always predictable, so she plays an eternal mix-up game that benefits from occasional randomness. When fighting someone that knows Bulleta’s tricks don’t expect to land dash LP’s. Dash MP, dash MK, and dash LK (for throw mix-up/random timing) are more practical. Here’s a useful algorithm for BB: Dash MP>LP (link)> chain/missile pressure>dash again or jump for MK cross-up. Just to note, even her dash timing has to be alternated, you must know when to use blinding speed and when to hold down/back and wait it out.

While BB’s is nut-crunching difficulty is most rewarding, I would argue that the lower tier characters like Morrigan, Lillth, and Demetri are better for learning the system due to reliance of universal options (tech hitting, guard cancel, tick throw) and varied movesets with limitations that force competency. Unfortunately, they can be a tad bit boring.

looks back at wall of text What can I say… I am really bored.

ggs to shoultz, really good lessons

EDIT: Just played the longest VS session I’ve ever had, 11-5, ffffuuuu, ggs to all I play on GGPO, though it was primarily people who wont be reading this haha(orgasm, aiueo and saviormeister)

Y’all missed out tonight, 14 people in the VS room RIGHT NOW

Ah I gotcha. If anything i’ll take the advice and learn some of the lower guys just to get the basics down. I find that actually helps out a ton when learning a new game by learning easier people with easy bnbs and such. Besides I have a total blast with this game even with I lose and with its lifespan being pretty much over with ( ]= ) funs the biggest factor at this point.

Played my scrubby Q-Bee against the locals earlier tonight and was surprised by how well I did and how much fun I had. I think I want to finally break down and play this game on GGPO. What is a good time to hit the VS room?
