You need a UHCI port for the PS3 stick to work on PC/Laptop. If you don’t have it then you have to add a new PCI Card if you’re using a PC. However if you’re using a laptop then hopefully it has an Express Card port so the solution is simply to add an adapter card. If your laptop does not have an Express Card Port then the only solution is to replace the stick’s PCB:looney:!

Hey all! I have a quick Morrigan question. Is there any kind of practical use for the Valkyrie Turn? I managed to get out a couple of lame wins with it as a kid against friends, but against an adult who knows what they’re doing, it just seems kind of useless. Is there something secretly awesome about the move that I’m not seeing, or is it really as bad as I think it is?
Use it to get out of corner traps. The strength of the kick will determine how high in the air she is, so be careful not to do HK and get all the way back into the corner, haha.

Or you can accidentally do it instead of a command throw in order to give up all pressure. Oh wait, don’t do that.
Also, when you pop out the back of the screen, you’re fully Invincible til you hit a 2nd kick and make the hitbox come out. A lot of times when you’re using it to escape like this you’ll not even want to hit the button a 2nd time and just fly to the ground safe
It’s probably the best way to escape Rikuo’s bubble trap in the corner, although if he spaces you right, you’ll land right on top of him and he can just block and Push Block or Guard Cancel you right into it.
Thanks for all the help! I’d love to hop on GGPO and play some matches (especially since I need experience playing good players who know what they’re doing), but alas, I have a mac. So until I buy Crossover or an external drive to install Windows on, looks like I’m SOL.
I read on the VS wiki that Talbain is the most overplayed character. Does that apply to GGPO, or just the offline japanese scene, because mostly im just seeing jedahs.

It can go either way, but yeah they are over used characters.
Doesn’t really matter. I think what they mean is that some people think Talbain is just scrubby as hell. It just depends on some peoples’ opinions (I asked Nekohashi, one of the better JP Felicia players, if he though Talbain was cheap, and he told me “Honestly, I would say that Q-Bee is more annoying than (Talbain).” The era of GGPO where people will shun you for your choice of character is gone, so play who you want and don’t worry about crap like that.
And yeah, a lot of new players tend to think Jedah is awesome. The popular trend for new blood on GGPO right now though is Felicia and Q-Bee. Go figure.

ggs last night. I was the auburn Talbain. It was my first time actually playing.
Just wondering, is there ANY kind of offline scene for this game in the States? Like, even on the smallest conceivable scale?
