dbl post
Ihira tell me. Why do most of the Korean VSavamaniacs have sex related names? Good-Sex, RapeSex, orgasm? Oh and as for the recent wave and fall of new players I’ve seen in and out of the room (although I’m not in there that much anymore really) I think a lot of people quit due to the fact that they can’t tech hit period. And the way some people play, if you don’t tech or gc, ggpo. Alot of them also try to play it like its A2. I see people fullscreen away seemingly waiting for me to jump so they can counter. I JUMP ALL DAY EVERY DAY HERE! Can’t get used to chicken guarding it seems for most of them after they realize Morrigan s.hk doesn’t have it’s cvs2ness.
Please don’t hurt my face by saying such things! I like mah face --. The best thing to come out of VH is anakaris’ theme, and Donovan…who ironically is better in Puzzle Fighter --.
Think of it in a positive way. More people might play VS after it. I’m 99% sure that a new Darkstalker will be released within two years or so.

ROFL
I like Hunter’s pacing better myself, so going back to it wouldn’t really be a step back for me. Nor for a lot of people I bet.
It feels so damn slow to me…
Hunter felt somewhat more like ST. Savior in its own right is a completely different game imo.
Hahaha, well even some good players in the VS room can’t tech hit reliably. Even then, I’m still not comfortable with pressing buttons when I block. Pushblocking in MVC is like the only exception I’d make for it being okay to press buttons when you block, because it’s the same buttons every time.
No, that’s Skankin
That’s why I don’t play Rikuo in VH. He feels so different compared to VS. But VH is fun in it’s own right. I like playing Anak in VH, since’s he’s halfway decent.
Some? How about, 95%? Lol. And the ones getting consistent techs fuck up and eat a combo at times.
Also, 95% use 3p to tech here, so what ‘buttons’ are they pressing? Lawls.
Who? (lol jk <3)
It has rights?
Fixed for win.
there is a reason why some of us like to play VS, the technicality involved. Having ono touch it will mean that it will be more scrub friendly and I don’t want that.
I don’t want more people to play VS. I want good to great people playing VS. Why should we dumb down a game when others can’t compete? why can’t those new players work hard to be good rather than the game being watered down to allow them to compete.
Basically everyone here who has become decent @ this game has started @ the bottom.
All I know is Yoshinori Ono worked on both SF4 and CFJ, and look how the VSav cast turned out in CFJ. Jedah and Anak were on crack.
2nds this. Even Demi and Fel weren’t bad there.
i agree with this, the main reason i dont really care much for VH (even tho phobos is in it <3)
im not gone, just doing beta test crap, takes so much freakin time… (im only an intermediate player at best)
EDIT: i hated how you couldnt press mp + fp and get mp and negative edge to qcf 2p in capcom fighting jam, that alone pretty much turned me off from playing the ds characters in it.
all right double post ftw!
Speaking (however arrogantly) as probably the only person here who has played a metric fucking assload of CFJ, I can tell you that pretty much 100% of the reason that the VSav characters are broken is because they’re balanced with Push Block and GCs in mind - not because they’re super ultra mega crazy. And yes, it certainly is true that they had some crazy shit compared to VSav, but it still wouldn’t be all that crazy in the face of Push Blocks and GCs.
That being said, I still don’t want to see Ono do a new Vsav game, because I don’t like how slow the games he makes turn out.
Yeah, they didn’t change all that much with Anak (or demitri/felicia) AFAIK and Anak was still scary.
But seriously, they didn’t just buff Jedah a little they buffed him A LOT. They let Jedah chain after dash and airdash, freeaction after air wheel (?!), gave him a command float that’s even better than QB’s (wtf?!), they sped up his qcb+P slash move, and they gave him his self-decapitation move back as a regular special which meant he was back to being able to knockdown as a BNB for oki.
Like yeah, Jedah’s ES wheel is not really that scary in VSav because you can pushblock, GC. And it is scary in CFJ cuz no GC/Tech and no action after airblock. But put CFJ-Jedah in VSav and he would jump way up in the VSav tiers simply because of all his buffs, the other characters wouldn’t move an inch but Jedah definitely would.
Speaking of Jedah…where the hell is JedahsMinistry?
Yeah, Jedah’s dash/air dash chains are outrageous, but that’s about the only thing that I think would raise an eyebrow if you put CFJ Jedah into Vampire Savior. They gave Jedah at least some of that stuff in VSav2 (I know, for example, he can use the decapitation move without needing to GC), and honestly, he could use a thing or two like that so that he’s not a crap character. He already has so many things going against him, giving him a few cool things like that would honestly not be half bad.
Even so, my biggest fear about an Ono Vampire Savior would be the speed and feel more than anything. CFJ was clunky as hell (unless you were playing as Guy), and SF4 is, too.
True, but I still see them Tech Hitting
I meant myself personally, heh. I think we all know how good people are in Macro vs Capcom
Yes and it has feelings too. It doesn’t appreciate being called slow. It prefers the term “Speed Challenged”
Dreaming of beating Japanese people up at COTA.
Now to contribute something relevant to the Ono discussion. I agree with shoultzula. I think that part of the charm of learning fighting games is the degree of difficulty that you add to them. SFIV was a good game imo, but I didn't feel challenged at all on the execution side and some parts of the game felt really unfair to me (trade DP's into Ultra for full damage?). Vampire Savior initially drew me in because of character design, but then I grew attached to it by the sheer amount of complexity there is to a game that only has a cast of less than 20. SSFIV is gonna have more than 30 characters and I think that it's just going to be more of the same, despite all the hype that people have been generating for it. To be honest, I'm way more excited to play the new BlazBlue than touching SSFIV.
Been there, done that
