Good shit, glad to have you aboard… For some reason your name sounds familiar… Do you know Jesh? (jStar?) Or did you go to any ECL’s? I’m an ex-CounterStrike player so I know some of the Quake/UT guys, but not many (TrollBoy, Jesh, etc…).
I recommend you mod your SE fight stick with some quality Sanwa buttons whenever you get the chance… the stock SE buttons will die on you very quickly. The stock stick I don’t like either (I use a modded SE stick with Sanwa parts).
I prefer squaregate myself… I think I’d rather a 360 gate over an octogate. Isn’t it way hard to do balrog’s head butt into ultra and guile’s dash forward to ultra with an octogate? Plus with shoryuken shortcuts like :df: :df: are soooo simple w/ square.
Fun times. Im hoping to run more tourneys when super drops. gonna tighten up planning and set ups also. Thats to everyone that came out and Ryan for making the event a bit more Super.
From what I’ve heard people have been able to chain up to 5 hits only with out FADCing anything. She has overheads which could reset mid chain. But fireball FADC to extend the combo itself is what I’ve seen. Also the thing lasts for a long ass time. It’d be hard to outrun her for the entire meter unlike 3s where you could run for 5-6 seconds and run out genei-jin.
If anyone wants to run any other shortcut motions for a stick other than the shoryuken one by me or link me to a thread if there is one, it would be greatly appreciated. Seeing as I have about 15+ years exp. with a ps/nes style d-pad and about 2 weeks exp. with a stick over my lifetime, I’m already tempted to sell the ssf4 stick I just got lol. I can’t piano electricity (mash buttons) or dash ultra on pad atm, but i’ll probly drop blanka anyway and doubt ill pick another charge character. I can do everything else that comes to mind on pad. I even found a way to kara demon consistantly if I put practice into it.
