10X and I are trying to find an event to play at, so if anyones hosting let me know, and we’ll both be there.
I went to see the arcadia venue yesterday. I didn’t get an exact address, but its located on the CNU campus and the # is (757) 310 6274. I could have done a much better job of getting details as I was pressed for time, but here is what I know::
They have Friendly staff. Whoever I talked to plays SF4 but I forgot to mention SRK… He says one of his projects is to get the place MLG certified. I got a tour of the place and they have a rockband/guitar hero section, a computer section, a game lounge, and they sell games by the the front. I think I saw a vending machine too, I can’t remember. Stores are right next door as its on a strip mall, I know at least one of them sells food.
Great Lounge area. Emphasis on GREAT. They have comfortable looking couches surrounding 6-10 HD TVs hanging on the wall, a nice amount of floor space, and the lights are dim for a theatre effect. As long as like HD TVs, I can’t see anyone having complaints. The guy said he didn’t notice any lag on them but I didn’t play on any of them.
The tourney this time around is not expected to be big. Its a midnight release thing meant to get the store attention. I remember something about 4$ entry and you get 2$ for every match you win, so im guessing its a big round robin. Call for better info. They already plan on throwing more tourneys in the future for SSF4 with a bracket and normal rules.
In other news, My stick came in the mail and I probly won’t make O-NO’s tourney
