hit and run. if you feel the need to rush in, rush straight into 3C, if it connects cancel into 214A, it should combo no matter the distance, since tager’s hitbox is so huge. from there you go into her bread and butter air C combo.

Throwing into dash, 2C to basic C aircombo does 400 more damage. Significant enough, I think, even if it’s a bit difficult at first. Training mode is beautiful.
So, have any of you ever had any problems with Rachel? and if so whats a good strat for rachel in this matchup? I figured you guys would know what you hate/dont like to see in a matchup so i though id ask here!
I haven’t played online yet…but against my brothers and friends in real life. This strat seems to be a nice trap for quite a bit of damage.
If you do a D attack…doesn’t really matter which (and they are toward the other side of the screen)… if they don’t block, finish the D combo… but if they do!
then dash instead of finishing the combo (which does her teleport dash…I dunno the names yet…sorry) Grab… then start the combo that the guy does in the tutorial video.

then you can jump and grab if done properly (timing is kind of tough, I havent gotten to where I can always do it. Either way, this does a little over a 3rd of a bar, and is pretty easy to set up. Sorry if its already been said, I haven’t read through every single page
I find the air grab does just as much if not more damage, and I have an easier time doing it than the rest of the combo from that video. For people having some trouble doing it ^^
Edit* 4621 damage, so it goes to just after the first R of barrier if you do the grab instead of finishing the combo from the tutorial vid.
Grabs can be teched pretty easily especially in combos. This “trick” is only kind of useful if done really rarely in unexpected situations (like say, once ever 3 matches against the same person).

but the combo i want to do is midscreen throw-> dash-> 2C (not swords)-> 6C 2DD-> air combo
but im having trouble with dashing into 2C after the throw

throw-> dash 2C 6C 2DD jDD dj2DD 214D=3982 dmg
Btw it’s a lot easier to do djDD as opposed to dj2DD. doing dj2DD assumes you jumped pretty high in your first jump before doing your DD and it’s really not necessary.
Anyone got any character specific combos. I know a few with Tager, Rachel and apparently you can get some extra hits in the air against Arakune but I haven’t played too much with these yet.
