I’ll be there as well.
T6 is now confirmed as a tournament.
When you rsvp, lemme know which tourney/tournies you would like to play in. If you play in both, the entry fee is $8 per game.
PS if anyone has any skills in making posters, lemme know and i’ll pay/post that shit up around campus. i’m sure we could reel in a few uw heads to add to the prize pool/scene!
the nigga muggish will be present.
Are these tournaments held where the pool tables are? Sign me up for both games!
yeah right next to it in the console area
I’m there…looks like the best singles tournament turnout in a while. Good job at settin this up.
count me in. its chris from gw
Put me down for both games please. My attendance is attentive at the moment because of school home work >_<, if I have an ASS load of shit to do then I cannot make it. But things are looking like I will so far.
I can run the Tekken 6 tournament as well but I think Rob (Zigmover) has contacted with you on this issue so far.
If I can go I will be brining my setup for Tekken. This includes: 23inch HD Monitor, a copy of Tekken 6 (PS3), and my PS3.
Also FYI Ejdge:
Most national and large scale Tekken tournaments are run only on PS3. With this tournament it should not be a negative factor but, most of the old school Tekken players like myself play on the PS3 pad. Thus it should be stated that if there is a conflict between two people on what system they are going to play on they should be ready to play ON BOTH systems.
This is of course if there is a conflict with what system the two people are playing on, but I just wanted to get that out there. In the previous tournaments I’ve ran, paper/rock/scissors was used to dictate what system to play Tekken 6 on. I know for a fact if I play someone who LOVEs the Xbox I will try to get it on the PS3, haha. I do own a Xbox TE stick just for this reason though.
So the newer generation of Tekken players need to keep that in the back of their minds. You need to get use to playing Tekken 6 on the pad OR buy a arcade stick for the PS3 if you plan on going to Evo next year to play Tekken. Since the majority of new players are from the Xbox SFIV scene I do not expect many of you own any PS3 pads/sticks.
I want to go…but TW is Sat night. Gonna be hard to convince my better half that ignoring her all weekend would be a good thing. We will see.
Oh you motherfucker. In a good way.
hhaha um ed i wasnt going to participate in SF i was just gonna come haha, but il play in T6
@ Super Joe
Thanks for the info buuut we have to run it out of the consoles at the venue and they only have 1 ps3 which has input lag. All their setups are already setup so we can’t really bring our own stuff/switch their stuff out.
If you guys want, I can take $1 or more out of each T6 entry and start an inpin fund so players who want to use a pad can use one in future tournies.
If anyone has an inpin converter for the 360, please bring it!
count me in as long as parking is free/ez to find, ragepenguin here, bloodredpenguin on tz. no fa$ebook
tekken only
Me for tekken and Sf4
Well if I don’t work that day I will definitely be there. I will let you know when I know.
same
@Ejdge I am confused. Can we not bring our own xboxes/ps3s to play casuals and/or use for the tournament?
Nope, the hub rents out their console setups for like 4 bucks an hour. Im assuming this means we cant do our own setups there without paying, unless we just reserve a room and get tvs or something, which is just a hassle.
I don’t understand. What does pooling money together do for ps3 pad players who have to play on xbox? There aren’t ps3-xbox converters or anything. That whole ps3 pad thing is kinda deterring for me to want to play Tekken. I need to find a psx-ps3 converter because I have my old PS stick.
I already asked this and from what I understand the answer is no. We’re using their space so they want to be able to charge us to rent their systems.
Xconverter dawg, its a lagless ps2-360 converter.
As far as I know Elias is right about ps3-360, but most people have a ps2 pad hiding somewhere anyways.
