I thought about trolling your Bison matchup comments in the Makoto forum, but I don’t think people are ready for my turtle Makoto theorycraft. For real though, low forward stuffs all of Bison’s normals, including jump-ins. Toward+strong does a pretty good job too, though that’s way easier to counter-poke if it whiffs. I’m not joking when I say that you could just outpoke him to death.

I guess it’s not flat out turtling… I mean, even i’ll go in if I think the payoff is worth it. It’s just that Bison’s offense is entirely dependent on you pressing buttons and attacking him. A strong downback with the occasional read on his scissor kicks means that his offense is so risky that he’s going to kill himself eventually. They either realize it and back off, which sets up the positioning that your offense was going for in the first place, or they don’t and you kill them anyways with no effort on your part.
Looks like i’m being your dickrider and switching to Makoto, though. I showed Rom how to deal with step kick and I went from beating him like 6.5-3.5 to fighting for my life and losing my dick. I’ll take better normals, more damage, and a less retarded haircut please.

Yeah, I know what you mean with your theory, it’s just that Makoto moves too fucking slow to honestly win with pure footsies. She really can’t get good positioning vs Dic to actually pose a threat. He can keep her at bay with scissors and st.mk alone. Bison can just freely move in and out of your range while you just crawl there, trying to keep up.
What I’m thinking this matchup will evolve to would be: Ease in and hold your ground while punishing his button-presses, then just dash in and fuck him up. Makoto is way more explosive than Abel, she really has that random factor because her dash is pretty damn hard to react to. She can also take a couple risks thanks to her improved health. Beyond that theory I’m pretty lost, I need to hit the lab and figure out some OSs or wait 'till vRyu does it for me.
