Another great Ranbat! I lucked out and somehow avoided some tough matches like Kelly Dana and Gustavo. GG’s to Mike and Katie who both almost beat me!! The girls bracket was a nice touch haha. My sister Marissa says she’s gonna start playing now, lol.
GG to everyone; another seriously great ranbat. New venue makes it nice…a little trying to find it, but that’s all good, because it’s worth it once you’re there. Kyle…the quick breakdown:

All the same characters (Sagat, Guile, Gief, Rose, Rog) for the players. Highlights: Girls brackets; GGPO to Seth’s; Katie’s development into a SF threat; lots of TV’s and a nice HD projector; cables, cables, cables…all good times. I’ll get something written up by tomorrow night.
I use to not understand this match up at all similar to how I didn’t understand the Gief match up and still trying to figure out the Sagat match up.
Don’t jump into Blanka at all. Use your fireball to zone, unless he has EX bars. Master the jab, short EX legs or short, short EX legs.
After you block his ultra, you can try to be a master and ultra back however you need to have really good timing, it’s not guaranteed like the others. You actually can punish his ultra (you don’t need to use the corner) is by taking one step then activating it. Just practice.
