I’m not sure where that Abel player was from, but yeah he had skillz. I remember when he got beat badly the first two rounds against Vega… then all of the sudden just exploded on him and destroyed him like he was nothing, everyone was blown away. But yeah I had a great time, except for that speeding ticket I got on the way up… lol 
That Balrog player that was playing Andrew was John Rog? Nice.

I’m definitely interested in playing you all. My problem to this point has been no stick. I find the 360 controller to be very frustrating to try to use, so until I can try a stick down, I’ve just been, unfortunately, laying low. Once I get something setup I’ll add some of you guys and we can hook up online so you can laugh at my rustiness. 
Also looking forward to meeting you all in person. I’m probably a little older than most of you, hope that isn’t a problem.

LOL A few of things.
One, bring what you have or just use our sticks when we do have gatherings. If I’m there, you can use my DOA4 stick. I can’t speak for everyone else, but they’re usually cool with you using their stuff, as long as you don’t Juggernaut Punch the thing.
Two, I’m 30 with a wife and two kids, and Konqrr is like 52, or 32, or something, with a wife and three kids, and a couple of the guys are married with no kids. Most of the rest are single and mid to late 20’s, and some are younger than that. As far as I’m concerned, if you were 60 it’d be cool, as long as you had game and weren’t a jerk. If you don’t have game but don’t mind losing and learning, then that’s also good. We all teach each other.

The 2nd round will be at SLCC Jordan Campus on April 3rd

- All Rounds of the Street Fighter IV tournament will be a open registration with the top players gaining a bye in the upcoming rounds. All games will be played on Xbox 360
Pool Play

All players will be placed into pools randomly with the intention of the best possible experience. - All players will play each player in their respective pools with the top players advancing to the bracket portion of the tournament.

Rounds will be played best of 5 a single match best records advance to the championship bracket rounds. Losers can then participate in there own bracket for prizes.
Single Elimination Bracket
- Rounds will be best of 5 two matches. Winners (3) will then advance to the next event with a bye of pool play
Controllers

All controllers and settings will be accepted including and not limited to Joysticks. (We prefer you bring them as other serious players will be using them)

Yeah, he’s a friend of Gootecks who through his podcast was helping John Rog (and someone else, AYK?) be better players (called “From Scrubs to the Winners Club”).
Hmmm…I’m contemplating the U tourney, but I won’t have my stick and I’d have to sluff class so maybe not lol

The 2nd and 3rd rounds are both open to everyone just the winners of this round 1st 2nd and 3rd will not have to play in pool play.
The single elimination bracket is best of 3 5 round matches. So you would have to lose twice but vs the same person. (Japanese tournament style)
The turnout determines the prizes by my sponsors this is the first of three so If we make it big the prizes will get larger.
King of the Cabinet will be 2 round matches winner stays sticks will be provided for this portion.
Someone might let you borrow theirs. I don’t have a stick either, so that’s what I’m hoping for.
