Using Toodles Axisdapter on a PSTV

Does anyone know if an Toodles Axisdapter works on a PSTV? I plan on building a fightstick esque controller with a PSTV on the inside for the Project Diva games and Persona 4 Dance All Night. The axisdapter seemed like a good solution as most PCBs and controllers do not work on the PSTV.

The Toodles Axisdapter is just an adapter to use with Sony Six Axis PS3 game pads (not to be confused with the later Dual Shock 3 game pads).

You still need the Sony Six Axis Controller first.

The real question is:
Is the PS3 Six Axis controller compatible with the PlayStation TV?

And

Can you still reliably find a PS3 Six Axis game pad.

If your building a fightstick style controller get a zero delay encoder best one to look for says its for pc,ps2 & ps3 reason being it registers as a wireless ps3 controller and its the only pcb ive found that worked for me you dont need any other adapters and it go on you tube and do a search for ps tv fightstick the 2 vids where you can see a tv on top of a chest of drawers are my vids showing it working on my ps tv

Darksakul, thanks for the advice. I will buy a six axis controller and see if it works on a ps tv.

Cossie1300, sorry your setup will not work for me. I still need to have analogue sticks for the Project Diva games.

The Axis adapter just makes it easier to wire up an arcade stick using a PS3 controller, so yeah it should work fine on PSTV. You could also just wire everything up directly to the pcb itself if you want as well, will probably be slightly more difficult. I think the flat flex (or w/e you want to call it) connector has the same pinout on the sixaxis/ds3 so I’m not sure if it being a six axis or ds3 matters in reguards to using the axis adapter.

I will have to try this when I get the chance, lots of got stuff to play with a stick on the psn.

The Axisdapter doesn’t help you wire out the analogs; if you want those, you’ll be wiring them directly to the existing analog cubes.

Im hoping the adapter works for you the zd works for me as i mainly play fighting and old arcade games on my ps tv and they dont need analogue controls

Thanks for the help everyone. To give a bit of perspective I am building a replacement for my Project Diva Mini Controller with a PSTV inside.

The buttons wore out on mine and finding replacement buttons seems like an impossibility. I would gut the controller, but it only works on the PS3 and there are a few Vita/PSTV exclusives I would like to play.

are you saying its possible to build a wireless twin analogue stick??

what is the difficulty rating on this??

It’s possible.

The hard part is pad hacking a Six Axis board.
Analog stick relocation is rather easy, as long as you keep all your wiring straight.
