Yeah the real problem is them just holding downback and Cammy hopping over them, leaving you hugely vulnerable. If that didn’t happen, this would be a much better gimmick. Bokkin already posted how he OS’ed EX SBF against Rufus EX messiah though, and it beats that clean apparently. So I think in general OS EX SBF setups might be better than just doing it straight up, since the point is to beat out invulnerable wakeups.
it seems pretty gimmicky. if you know they’re going to dp, why not just block and get a free ultra anyway? i mainly use EX SBF to get out of the corner if i’m really desperate, or to avoid some stuff after i’ve been knocked down.
ex sbf gets you out of free ambiguous ultra from blanka, for example.

you can’t backdash certain DPs from a point blankish point and some people will refuse to dp at certain distances, obviously

I dunno, I’ve been doing this for a long time and mostly I get them doing C.HK or if its ken he does that forward medium kick, thing. Anyways, the backfist into a HSA works wonders to start a fight and it does a decent chunk. SBF does nice chip.
Just backdash slightly later to fully utilize the backdash invincibility frames. Ideally, they should all match the active frames of the dp instead of having some for the dp startup.
