Using a HRAP Pro with an Xbox 360

As the title of the thread says, Ive got a HRAP Pro and recently picked up an Xbox 360 and was wondering if there are any converters out there for it? I tried running it through a magicbox and the magicbox through an xbox to usb converter but it didnt work, so any suggestions welcome.

you cant. you would need to hack a pad and customized your stick. there are no converters yet. just get a doa stick.

The XFPS 360 works with PS2 pads and peripherals like steering wheels and light guns. I don’t think anyone’s tested it with arcade sticks but it ought to work. It is expensive though.

Yes, I have one and it does work with PS2 arcade sticks as well. It does require that you have a regular 360 controller plugged into the converter at the same time so any input from the 360 controller will also control your character onscreen (not good when my ass of a friend decides to “help” me play ). It’s an $80 investment, but I think it’s worth it in the long run.

It works perfectly with no lag?

If it does than it’s a better option than the DOA stick.

I would really rather wait until SF: AC or CVS2 becomes backwards compatible on 360 so I can give you a more concrete answer (it’s important to me too), but I’ll tell you right off the bat that the input on HSF2 and DOA4 works perfectly .

Did you use a HRAP1? Supposedly some non official controllers don’t work. I’m looking to get a HRAP1 with xfps 360 I just need to confirm that particular stick works with it.

I’m using HRAP2.

EDIT: My Hori Fighting Stick 2 also works but I don’t really like that tiny thing.

The only other thing I want to know about this converter is if either of those USB slots could be used with a PS3 stick?

No. Tried my MAS stick with both USB ports via TWO different psx>pc conveters(one of them being the infamour Radio Shack one) and the system doesn’t even recognize it.

Darklight,

Could you please give me a step by step breakdown on the setup for this (PS2 wise)? I received mine in the mail yesterday, and still can’t get it to work. I’ve tried using a standard PS2 Dualshock 2 pad, Mas Stick and Hori SC2 stick to no avail. Is the adapter supposed to light up indicating it’s on? ala LED lights. I know you mentioned that you have to have a 360 pad…does the pad have to be official? I’m currently using the MadCatz pad. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’m starting to wonder if my adapter was DOA.

Thanks

What I meant was if you could use a PS3 stick on the Xbox 360 through the XFPS 360 converter. This converter has usb slots allowing you to use a usb keyboard and mouse on the 360, but could you also use a PS3 stick through it?

Dark gaiden: My understanding is that you have to have a wired pad plugged into the converter when you switch the machine on. You might need an official wired pad.

Ah, that might be the problem…i’m not using an official Microsoft wired pad. Darklight, can you confirm this?

Gaiden, from what you IM’ed earlier (where the character moved left for no reason). That did happen to me… once. I simply unplugged the XFPS from the console and plugged it back in and it was fine. I’m not sure why that happened though…

Has it happened to you more than once?

Thx for the help the other day. Yea, it happened to me all the time when using all my PS2 hardware. I’ll do some more testing later tonite. I attempted to play a few matches of HF on Live, but the direction error just killed it.
