lp/mp tk are basically charge character specials you don’t have to charge for, pretty much any special that falls into this category is going to be good.
well I’ve looked at your statement the other way around.
Rufus isn’t much execution heavy and that’s exactly my problem here. How many hit confirms he has into ultra at the top of having a dive kick with no height restriction, galactic tornado eats fireballs and -1 on block, high damage and such. Dunno how can someone can make a character that easy to combo into his ultra (7-8 ways if I’m not mistaken!) and in general execution but still think Ryu/Sagat shouldn’t do a lot of damage with a DP FADC U1. Not saying Ryu should have that. It’s just that there are so much inconsistencies in character balance vs character execution that I dunno if I can agree with your statement.
Viper is execution heavy, I don’t mind that. So her having high damage output is fine for me. But at the same time wtf why would you give her this continuous reversal burn kick shit or just “I CAN and WILL press buttons WHEN I want to, HOW I want to and WHICH EVER I want” type of thing.
I just see inconsistency/“wtf were they thinking” in a lot of character design in this particular game.
I feel bad for any who plays a character that gets nerfed into mediocrity. Because the DEVs failed at their job and it screws over those players who put effort into their character.
Elena was never a top 10 contender, even in arcade version she was struggling. Now rolento on the other hand… he was doing really good and they nerfed him HARD.
IDK, I only say that because Elena isn’t the type of character that you expect to see immediate results with. She seemed to be pretty good in Arcade version, even causing a lot of character specialists to switch over to her. I know Capcom makes overwhelmingly retarded decisions sometimes, but when you look at how long the nerf list for her, you have to wonder how good she might have actually been if she was kept how she was.
Agreed with all of this. I just feel that’s those pretty good normals when combined with the best walk speed, strong as, good frame traps, a kara throw, still strong oki despite dwu, a teleport, a strong overhead and very good zoning still makes for one of the best characters in the game. And I don’t think people are fully utilizing the cl.mk, far fierce and ex red buffs either.
I feel this way as well, seth is all around dead to me now even after alot of the work I put into him. I really don’t know if this was discussed but somewhere said that ken was a better contender for top 10 then e. ryu. sinply because he can be played woth chance of less error but I find ken harder at high level play then e ryu. simply because kens versatility is low compared to e.ryu so please give me opinions.
