Decapre does pretty silly damage.
A simple meterless hitconfirm combo into her DP does like 200, that’s really high. A meterless punish combo does 270. fadc into air throw add a lot of damage and give a good setup everytime.
She’s kinda scary just because she kills you so fast.
Yeah. I’m really liking her. lol Gotta get better at pianoing though. She’s pretty much exactly what I wanted her to be. She can put you down fast.

Overall the new characters are weaker which is alright.
I think Decapre is the best out of the new characters. She has decent Oki game. Decent normal due to Cammy.
Her DP has massive invincible and hardly ever trades. Kinda like Cannon Spike to no surprise. So great wakeup options.
Her meterless combo do damage like hell as mentioned above. They so gonna nerf that down on next patch.
Poison is pretty solid but have some problems for sure. Decent footsies and zone control.
Not a great AA or wake-up game. DP is very iffy. You can vertical jump it and it misses.
JP.HK is pretty strong for her. It comes out at at early frame and has very high priority.
Overall I am a bit underwhelmed in the new characters especially Hugo and Rolento.
Decapre DP sucks if you have a low profile move you can stuff it and i think her mixups sucks only thing good about her is her damage shes a terribly flawed character.
The best way I could describe her, Poison feels like a bad KOF character.

Also i’m pretty surprised mago (who only plays top tiers) is sticking with fei long, maybe the nerfs aren’t that bad?
I don’t mind how she plays. I had to readjust to her DP (which is Sean’s DP from 3rd Strike), and I’ve always had a little trouble ripping perfect rekkas off, but other than that, I think shes decent.
I think evil ryu is top 3 and Fei is still potentially top 10? Probably top 15? He’s good. Adon is another who had more doom and gloom predicted than is necessary.
Characters I would consider moving up/down are Oni, Chun, Seth, Dudley, Guy and Makoto.
Top 10’s a bit stagnant; Juri and E.Ryu enter, Ibuki and Seth leave? Gouken is also really low, but Dictator went up. Mind going into detail there, if only so we can pick your brain?

Not that it really matters, but:
Vanilla Gen was upper tier (not close to the S tier though)
Super Gen was bottom tier
AE Gen was mid tier
2012 Gen was in that big cluster right behind top 3, I usually refer to it as top 10, but there’s actually more characters than that in that grouping
Ultra Gen is clearly the 2nd worst version of the character, not sure yet exactly how far he’ll fall in the tiers though.
I don’t know about Guile that low
They are bad, but he got really good compensation buffs to go with them. He’s just different is all.
The top 3 Fei players in the world are all sticking so far. Fuudo Mago and Gakt
I still think of Ibuki as a very strong character. For me, I can’t really list my Top 10 or Top 15. I can only list my Top 5 and my Bottom 5. I still don’t think that Gouken got tremendously better in USFIV and I never thought of him as anything higher than mid tier in AE2012. Dictator has always been high for me (I’ve always thought he was the strongest charge character) and he only got better in USFIV.
As for Guile, I think the health nerf, CH state during boom recovery, and FK FADC being -5 really hurt him and he didn’t really get anything to compensate.
I don’t get why everyone is putting Gen in bottom tier. I mean yeah, he is worse, but he isn’t low tier. His footsies are still REALLY good, his mixups are still “ok” though not nearly as good. His ultras are still useful. His super is still useful but yeah it’s weaker.
I can see him dropping out of top tier down to mid but I just don’t see him dropping from top 15 to bottom 10.
I feel he is right in the middle now. I can’t see picking him over some of the characters above him but I don’t think he is awful.
