Canada is free, I live in one of the most populous city and there were a total of 20 people in the biggest tournament we had. Shit, the population of Tokyo is almost equivalent to that of Canada.

It doesn’t do anyone any favours to claim someone is good but not have any legitimate evidence to suppose that assertion. I can accept that some Canadian players are better then your average joe but I’m not seeing results where it counts. Not to mention a entire team of Canada’s best just got worked over by DJ…it was a year ago but what has air or chirithy really done to redeem themselves?

Eric Hai (a Canadian) beat Tokido at Evo 2012. Tokido must be shit too though right?
Chi-Rithy also beat Justin at Toryuken 3 which was only a couple months ago.
It’s not a secret, the places where good players developed over the years is where there is a lot of people around the same spot : California, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka are the main hubs of the FGC in the world.
There isn’t a place like that in Canada, so the fact that they have still a lot of decent players is nice.
I see what you mean, but there are cities everywhere though.
Toronto Montreal Vancouver and Calgary have produced some good players.
Chirithy, jsmasters, snafoo, scrubydan, air, riceata, jozhear. All are pretty good players.
tbh…I’d like Mexico over Canada in a 5 vs 5 or 10 vs 10. Gama, Master, Excelancer, Shadow X, Chris, Eightgrade, Jazdero, HB, GordoRlz, Khanibal, Babushas, Cast, Layec, PajaroMayor, Marin, Zicca and SRPilot are all really good players and there’s some interesting talent like Chopilla (OSV), Zicca, Goro GI, Kamus Kain and myself who can do good shit and will be better in upcoming times.
Yeah most areas have good players. Doesn’t make any one player shit automatically tho

There are more compilation videos on team Canada at Canada cup that show them getting destroyed in teams. Candian players were not even able to break top 16 in their own events. In the context of actual tournament competition they are shit.

He plays like that online, tbh. Offline he’s really different and I really don’t understand why he plays like that when online, offline he has beaten good players including Mike Ross at last year’s Coliseo.
