Let’s hope it’s not Sagat either.
I’m not particulary interested in having 5 major pros playing him. ( Sanford, Bonchan, Ryan Hart, Mago, and Daigo ? eh… )
I wonder how much of Daigo’s decision was influenced by DWU. He uses Ryu’s safe jump in every match. There’s basically no way else to gain a strong offensive advantage now that that’s gone. The ground and zoning game is simply too weak for many characters.
I’m a bit late for this conversation but whatever.
Wao was respecting him way too much, chun isn’t Ryu she isn’t supposed to do kikoken all the day like he did. Wao was way too scared to jump above the kikoken for some reasons, that’s a big mistake.
Look Oni players, I know the match is really hard for you but here is the tip : you jump over the kikoken. What will chun do ? she doesn’t have a 3 frame dp so what are you scared of. Even if she AA you, you just lose 70 HP… big deal. If your jump is blocked she’s free to pressure and if you hit her you’ll do a 40% life combo + a safe jump ; on top of that she’ll be less likely to use her kikoken as much which is a good new for later in the match.
If a chun likes to do kikoken a lot, jump on her, the risk and reward is in your favor.
Wao was respecting lamefiltration way too much IMO.
Daigo vs Bonchan was a great match, not much to say about them they are too godlike.
Really ? that’s crazy but hey, the arcade street battle is funnier to watch with him there :), gat to protect our soil don’t we. Will he be in for the stunfest ?
Wao did jump over the kikoukens repeatedly, Infiltration just anti aired him with normals every time. Beat out Oni’s jump ins almost always, at best Wao got a trade. Chun walks backwards faster than Oni walks forward and obviously forwards faster than Oni walks backwards. She can space her attacks perfectly. Oni can’t MK slash through her projectiles either, cause she’ll recover in time to block and punish.
It isn’t the first Wao got dominated by Infiltration’s Chun either, at SCR it was the same story.
This is probably heresy to some, but I had a hard time not falling asleep watching it. There’s minimalist play, and then there’s Daigo vs. Bonchan. You can only see someone press cr.mk that many times in a row before your brain just tunes out.
