Their are only 2 Koreans entering AE and still no sign of Poongko? Are they only advertising their most well known players and internationals so far because the list for all 3 games are so devoid of Koreans so far.
Uh, it’s held by Cafeid. Those are KOF people, not AE players really. There’s a lot more Cafeid representation on the KOF side of the bracket. As far as lack of random Koreans go, remember that Korea is Tekken land. SF4 is very very small in there.

Afaik the tournament has a 128 player limit, more players could sign up in the next days.

Sure Korea is Tekken land, but come on. We already know for a fact that their are many more Korean players than just Infiltration and Kenzouzzang. What happened to their other known players and no randoms whatsoever? 50 million people in a country smaller than my state(North Carolina), and they can’t get more people to come out to this event even if they don’t live in the city that it takes place in?
I’m just baffled I guess. We see much smaller countries put together tournaments with at least “dozens” of local participants if not more. Korea can only get 2 for AE, 2 for Marvel, and 8 for KOFXIII.
I’ve had some insight on the Korean FGC, and it’s pretty ungrateful, really. Most players outside of Tekken are online monsters and no one would pay for stuff. They only like free tournaments, at least the non-top players. Also, there are barely any KOFXIII players outside of the core of CafeId, the Marvel community can be counted with 2 hands and they won’t go because they feel like they’d be burning money, and SF4 is an unknown number because everyone only plays online, as I said.
