If it’s anything like the 25th anniversary tourney then players can play in multiple qualifiers.
right now the entrants are xian, chrisg, sako and haitani.
More like Daigo is going to the UK or Singapore and Infiltration will try hard in Korea.
infiltration will easily win the korean qualifier, im really concerned for daigo though. shame that japan only had a single qualifier, a qualifier which im willing to bet was more difficult to win than the actual capcom cup tournament itself lol.

I thought I heard somewhere here that Wao entered the TGS, guess he didn’t do much.
The Singapore, Taiwan, and Korea qualifiers are all being rolled into one as the “Asia Qualifier” just like the way it was done last year during the SF25 tournament. Top 2 from each advance to play in Singapore where the top 2 from that tournament advances to the Capcom Cup. I don’t know how they’re going to handle a 6 player tourney. I’m sure they don’t want to give byes to anybody so hopefully the do a round robin instead considering it’s just 6 guys for one game.
Only Shadowloo Showdown and the UK qualifier are left as tournaments that gets you immediately into the Capcom Cup if you win the qualifier. These two are on the same exact weekend though. So top players like the MCZ guys, EG guys, or whoever else will have to choose wisely if they want one of those spots. A lot of top Japanese players are already confirmed for Shadowloo Showdown including Tokido and Mago. Maybe guys like Justin, PR Rog, and Daigo will instead go to the UK where the comp may not be quite as strong(no offense).
wao did not attend TGS. he was not part of the 64 man bracket.
btw if you did see the tournament yesterday on nico nico, as stacked as the tournament was, people were complaining that it was a missed opportunity that didnt allow a lot of the deserving top players in that region to participate and instead signed in many not so strong women players and other local folk who are very ordinary at the game.

Oh, interesting, I had the idea that Taiwan, Korea and Singapore had their own qualifiers (Which pretty much confirmed Gamerbee and Infiltration right away (not that it doesn’t)).

Daigo always loses to Vipers in Japanese tournaments. Since Vanilla days (see the first GodsGarden vs Uryo and other matches). I think he personally hates the matchup, although he hasn’t said so. I remember him putting Viper top tier in every version of the game so far. Unsurprising result.
Yeah, if people actually watched the match, there is no way that Ryu can beat an amazing C Viper the way that guy was playing her. #tiersexist
