Daigo is a beast in long sets, though he lost against Infiltration in a long set, apparently Daigo stated he has trouble against Akuma.
Though nice to see him beasting again, I was starting to think he was done for.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Daigo was using that QCF tech to block those jump ins. Xian landed like 2 ambiguous x-ups/unblockables in the whole set, and that’s supposed to be one of the advantages he has vs shotos.

He beats Tokido and other Akuma players constantly, perhaps he finds it difficult against Akuma but just because he loses hard against one Akuma player doesn’t mean he sucks against Akuma. But I noticed that you do like posting for no reason.

Disregarding all previous beatings Tokido received from Daigo, perhaps he lost against him this year but Daigo has beaten Tokido constantly in long sets and quite often in tournaments.

Daigo struggles against all Akuma players, not just Infiltration and Tokido… you’ll see this if you watched any of his arcade kumite matches he had this year. Just like he struggles against Cammy, Ibuki and Adon. Sure he may beat most of them but you can definitely see he has a much harder time against those specific characters than anyone else. Fei used to be one of those characters but he managed to jump over that hurdle.
Tokido stated that EVO2k13 was the first time he had ever beaten Daigo at a tournament.
Is he meaning, by “the first time at a tournament” that he beat him the first time, in the SF4 series or in general?
