I’m an akuma player with some experience in yun and juri, but I need help deciding which character to be my secondary. What are some good characters that cover akuma’s bad match ups?
Who do struggle against while you use Akuma. A bad match for the character might not be a bad match for you personally. So I would start there.
I still need to learn match ups against random characters (decapre, c viper) and against annoying characters like blanka, but that’s just me needing to get better at the game.
Specifically for akuma though, the match ups that trouble me are Makoto, Yun, and Yang.
go to those character forums and ask what characters give those players trouble. Dont limit yourself to two characters. All the better players who place in our weekly tournaments play 3+ characters. CORN alucarD comes to mind since he plays Hugo, E. Ryu, Ryu, Sagat, Balrog, & Bison in tournament
