this mod is fun and clearly has some thought put into it no matter how zany.
the problem is most people don’t want to lose familiarity with AE/USF4 by playing this.
i think SFxT PC would be a better sandbox for this kind of stuff, since a really nice mod would kind of salvage the game for the general SF playerbase.
besides, it is more flexible: scriptable menus / character select grid / stage selection etc.
if Dantarion releases his tools for SFxT, do you plan on doing something with it?
I’m not interested in that, I could write tools to edit SFxT myself if I wanted to.
By the time sfxt came out we were already far into development of this and I’m really not a fan of the aesthetics of SFxT, which we can only do so much to ‘fix’. Not a fan of the aesthetics of SF4 either, but hey, lesser of two evils.
Remix is a little too fast, it’s basically double marvel, slow it down a bit, especially on animations because Yun and Yang are creepy as fuck on this speed.
Remix is supposed to be like the fighting games in the 90’s Remix is supposed to be fast. Imagine a time where 3 matches could be done in the 5 minutes with out it being a total wash out.
Hugo [cr.MK>Special>DP+K] causes the backbreaker to not do any damage.
Cody can do cr.MK>st.HK>QCF+P with knife equipped in the corner forever.
Cammy can do [st.MP>st.HP>IADj.MK>j.MP>land]xn on Hugo.
Decapre may have a loop, at least on Hugo, with [cr.LP>cr.HP>QCF+HK~j.HP] but it’s pretty hard for me to do. Did like 3 loops and didn’t seem like it’d be impossible to continue beyond it.
Decapre is really fun. She seems to do pretty decent-ish damge. In the corner she can do cr.HK>DP>DP because of how the opponent gets hit in the air after the sweep. cr.LK>st.LP>cr.HK>HP DP>HP DP>AA Ultra does like 450 damage. Also, there isn’t a damage reduction on any Ultra if you pick the double option, dunno if that’s something you wanted or not. I’m also pretty sure she can still do an infinite with some form of [cr.LP>cr.LP>st.LP>far st.HP>QCF+MK~j.HP] As long as you’re far enough for far HP to come out after a st LP it’s all good. Not particularly easy.
Her reverse chains are pretty cool too. Recently had the idea to do links with it by canceling into a whiffed jab from something like st.HK. Had some short success with things like st.HK>st.LP whiff>st.HK>knockdown stuff.
And then I tried some spacing and movement inbetween links. I don’t know who all this works on, but I’m sure it is an infinite.
The only reason I messed up is because I ended up being too close, so I’m sure if you could get more acquainted to the visual spacing you could recognize when to not move forward. I’d also imagine there’s an infinite with some form of [far HP>close st.LPXN>far st.LP] Oh well.
edit: Elena has a really, really, really long combo. Not a true infinite, but by the time it ends I’m sure anyone would be dead.
[st.LK>cr.HP>QCB+LK-QCB+HK]xN until you’re really far away then do you st.LK>st.MP>cr.HP>QCB+LK~QCB+LP>Saving cancel and doing it again. I took an image, but winded up being really unsatisfying and blurry from my steam screenshot because of her movement, since I ended it with her Ultra. Did WELL over 100 hits and dealt about 1400 damage. Seems to be a glitch where you can hit them from the crumble after the HK rekka without them being airborne. Can also do it from any normal that can combo into QCB+LK and also chains from st.LK, cr.HP just seems to have the most movement?
Cammy can just air throw you forever because she doesn’t give a fuck. Can also still SJC her st.LP, but I couldn’t really get anything off of it.
There are a few instances where I could get a f.HP>LP whiff>f.HP with Decapre, but I’m sure an infinite from it, if it exists, would be almost TAS levels of hard. Slide from EX Scramble being faster is really cool.
we know about the airthrow thing, someone caught that within minutes (whoops i dunno how we didn’t), it’ll be fixed soon. if you play for now just Dont Be A Dick with it because it is getting fixed really soon.
yeah i tried using lullius’s ‘sf4 show off’ tool assist thing and i couldnt find any practical loops with decapre whiffed normals in the current build but i often overlook stuff

Next ver will hopefully be more organized, this one was just some stuff I needed to be fixed like elena inf, hakan oiled LK/LP infs and Cammy’s airthrow inf (that’s still in fuck fuck aaa) and cammy super.
The problem with Cammy’s airthrow is that it resets JP. The locked LP stuff is because after the steamworks patch, the game became a hell of a lot more picky about cancel windows
