USF4-PC on Steam is SUPERB NOW? *GASP*

now would be a great opportunity for them to implement rollback netcode. they can’t just rip it from SFxT?

nothing special, like everyone else , am just seeing so many bug, its depressing , i mean capcom is not blizzard, they arnt known for patch fixing , let alone in PC , i heard the SFxT patch was 7 months later than the console version

Ewwww. SFxT has some of the worst netcode, at least on PC. At least when SF4 has lag, it mostly just slows down. In SFxT I can think I’m blocking something and then have the game tell me that, no, I was in fact getting destroyed in a combo for the last 2 seconds. Before it became impossible to find anyone, anyway. Last time I started the game, didn’t find anyone after looking for ten minutes. Time before that, a single guy with a yellow bar connection who was as much better than me than I am better than I was before I actually started playing SF4.

I played a few games online a day ago. I haven’t had much issues with it since it switched to Steamworks. I had a few desnycs during matches but they weren’t common.

Last night I had a match against a guy where the game would pause and say “waiting for players” for ten seconds repeatedly, I think we had one 15 second burst where we were able to play uninterrupted, we spend over half of the match watching that message together.

During Cody’s U2 we had four pauses.

It’s terrible. At this point it’s on the level of KOFXII or KOFXIII for consoles. Many 3 bar matches end up feeling like 0 - 1 bar matches now. Hitches and random stuttering are the norm(it even affects SP!), the infamous ‘waiting for other player’ famous in KOFXIII for consoles has somehow migrated to this game and it’s about just as constant here as it was there. Not to mention the fact that everyones mic is turned on by default with muting the other player the only way to turn them off. Then you have the announcer voice being much louder than it normally should be, ranked and endless matches region locking you to your own country no matter what option you put it at(you can put the option to ‘any’ for region and you’ll still be region locked to your country). I don’t know how Capcom didn’t test this out before putting it live. It’s essentially unplayable unless you’re playing someone within very close proximity to you, like within your state/province.

Nothing too bad to report here, lag isn’t that different than GFWL in endless, there’s just nobody in Ranked for EU.
The first guy that create a tool to tell us someone entered the room while tabbed out is blessed for 10 generations.

GFWL was fine for all games. It was just some PC players didn’t know how to make a gamertag.

Hopefully PC version gets fixed in time for Ultra in a few months. I have some PC friends that I want to play with.

Console version has that type of lag too. You think hit confirmed so you input rest of the combo when they actually blocked it. Luckily matches like that are really rare on 360. I heard PS3 version as good too, but haven’t played it yet.

I also bought PC version to support the game, but that place is a ghost town. On 360 we never have trouble finding a match. We usually host a team only lobby on weekends that fills up really fast on 360. Feel free to join with a team if you see us :slight_smile:

There’s a weekly meeting every Sunday on PC, but it’s before I wake up, since it’s east coast based and I sleep in. And I think there was only an online crowd when I started playing it because I grabbed it during a steam sale, so I was mostly up against others who bought it at the same time.

I wonder if there’s a way you could spoof the filecheck somehow by somehow pointing it to another folder that has either the legit files or reasonable facsimiles of them? I don’t know much about that stuff but I remember that’s how the iPhone jailbreak community was able to get around Apple signing their firmwares so you could downgrade/jailbreak.

I just played two matches on really good connections with USA flag players. This will be the best version if they can fix whatever problems you guys are having.

I got another good connection. It doesn’t feel like online SF4 at all. That permanent input delay isn’t there.

I got another one. Every connection has been good. I do not know what is happening. This does not feel right.

Fifth connection is orange bar. It is dropping frames but I can’t feel the input delay. It is not playable but something seems different.

Yellow bar is still unplayable.

I played a red bar “Waiting for other player” that was actually alright when that message was not appearing.

Overall this is the best version. I expect that you guys will complain about it and they will add some smooth as butter forced input delay. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone noticed that the character models have become much darker since the steam update?

Wait, seriously? The entire time AE2012 was out on PC his tatsu had 6f startup? what?

Also I don’t mind there being bugs as long as they get fixed by the release of USF4 in August. I just really dislike how it takes so much longer to join a session now on steam when on GFWL it was actually instant. On the plus side the game also starts up way faster because there’s no shitty GFWL interface.

Yup. There was some other inconsistencies too but I didn’t test em. The 6F tatsu bug was found not long ago by m16ghost/shodan and then I verified it on mine. ugo2u also found some PC inconsistencies with psychocrusher a while ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhqrsiXUX40

The game feels off too. The speed or the frames feels a little different that before on gfwl. Maybe it’s just me.

yeah, you can still root an android phone by downgrading back to the previous os version.
for ex.
my mom’s LG optimus f6 was 10i. now after the update its 12b. I have to flash back it to 10i, but it involves putting the phone in emergency mode and a bunch of other complex steps. before the 12b update rooting was literally just a one click root step.
now its mad complex and its much riskier to ruin/brick the phone.
I haven’t gotten around to doing it for her yet. this is how I know the update blocked rooting and it was only intended to block users from rooting.
my rooted phone also received the update, but the update failed to install because it was already rooted AND because I made damn sure to make SuperSU a part of my phone’s system settings. I have heard from a few people they lost root access because they rooted their phone but didn’t make it a part of system settings. when the update installed it removed their root priviledges!!!
