online is still garbage for Ultra PC. might be a placebo effect but it seems a few grains of sand better than xbl. combos were messing up like crazy, can’t tech grabs even though you see them a mile away. it’s incredible how some people have a good time online with this shit. i play mostly offline and this is unacceptable. i just can’t get used to it. it feels like everything is underwater and really behind. not as good as vanilla and GFWL online versions. those were bad but not this bad.
for those that are saying it’s actually good, what ISP and what PC specs do you have? i’m curious if it’s a completely technical thing since all my ports are forwarded and i did not have this problem with previous versions of SF4 PC.
I noticed an overlook in Training Mode’s memory feature. My friend told me on Xbox, you pause and press A on memory on the pause menu to save, then use back/select button to load when the game is unpaused. On the PC version you can map both “Memory” and “Load” in button config option so you can save without pausing. The problem is when I’m mapping the select button as “Load” in button config, the mapping for “Back/Select” button gets replaced with None. The game somehow requires you to have the “Back/Select” functional so you can’t get out of button config if it’s set to None. For now I’m using the PPP button to load a save state, but it would be nice if this issue is patched as I prefer doing Red Focus with PPP+KKK buttons.
hey you know what else sucks…unless im doing it wrong you can only invite people on your friends list to private games…oh and someone already has like 4k pp
Despite my country’s absolutely batshit insane Internet infrastructure (since PLDT doesn’t want to connect to the local exchange, most connections to players on it actually go out of the country), I was able to get into some decent matches with a friend on Steam.
On a related note, I’m disappointed that you still can’t hotswap sticks in game.
tried all the new stages at maximum settings using E.ryu @1080p , no lag / slowdown or whatever, ive spents hours on training stage now, not a single freez happened to me, and am playing at max settings
Decapre is the new shit for lag testing. Try her on most intensive stages. Specificaly u1 and u2. I dont have max settings so I cant realy test that myself.
Just as bad as it used to be in AE2012. Can’t believe I waited for the PC version until now.
Had 1 or 2 decent matches out of 15 with a 100/50mbps connection.
Never would have thought that I’ll say that but I want GFWL back. At least that was playable compared to this piece of …
I’m seriously considering switching back to console, is the situation any better there?
From my own experience - hell yes. Its basicaly the same as ae 2012 for me. But for others it seems to lag more. So try it at your own risk I guess. My internet is pretty shit if youre wondering btw.
you can use the keyboard for the " reload " and " save " fonction while having a stick plugged in, by default they are F10 for saving and F9 for reloading for player 1, very useful when all your buttons are mapped on the stick like mine
They released an ae patch 1.09 a few days ago that was suppose to fix a lot of the problems. I never played ae on steam so I don’t know if that got any better. All I notice is how bad these connections are on pc. For connections I would rate them
