if you can pull that off i’ll love you long time. the extra bones look like controls and having more on the forearms helps with mesh deformation when the wrists are twisted.

This is a notoriously laggy stage and I am pleased to report I have removed most of what made it that way.
Ktw, I don’t know how to extract the alpha channel, but if you can provide it to me I’ll try removing the shorts outline for the panties, then provide it back.
Actually, I don’t mind doing it the way I am now… The fact that the panties are visible… that’s fine with me… Wouldn’t work with Sakura’s Buruma at any rate.

Just wrote a script that converts EMGs to SMD files, with bone assignments and bone weights. MilkShape seems really shitty when it comes to viewing bone assignments and bone weights. thankfully i found a SMD import plugin for blender.

Quick question: what file format do you guys use usually to edit models and to work with skeletons etc.? I’m currently trying to write something to convert SMDs back to EMG, but the script runs really slow. It takes like 10 min just to read a small SMD file and put vertex, triangle, bone info, etc. into array variables. im considering switching to perl script for this instead of autoit. Anyone know if that would run any faster?
Looking good man. I used to export my models bound to a skeleton as .fbx, import it in MilkShape 3D, export it again as .smd and convert it for the game (Resident Evil 4). I think .smd is good but it never took me 10 minutes to convert it back so I wonder why it’s taking that long. What language are you using?

Software like this is usually sold to corporations and professionals. They expect normal home users to pirate it; it’s part of their business plan, since it allows them to keep market share.
Those who do not wish to engage in such practices should use Blender. It’s free, and it isn’t really any less useful for amateur modelers.

This mod shows my theory about what Akuma was like before he transformed into Oni.I think this is the stage between Shin Akuma and Oni.Akuma didn’t fully fused him with Satsui no Hado completely.He still had his prayer beads and the old body and he only had new blue skin,longer hair and scar shown that he went further into Satsui no Hado

Would be nice if you could give some credit when using parts of other peoples skins.
Could you describe what you actually changed? I guess you swapped a lot of things like the full body, face and obviously the hair.
I haven’t installed it yet. So I can only guess.
But looks like a good idea to cover the gap between shin and oni akuma.

well tried to make cracked skin, but in the end had to go in artistic way as I couldn’t create bump map for her textures. In any case this facial “decoration” is the main point of this skin. Without it… this skin is nothing, but recolored costume.

Actually i think i’ll stick with autoit for now. There’s no guarantee perl or C++ would be any faster and I dont feel like rewriting all my functions. As for file formats, 3DS files are written binary which makes it difficult to read, and also I don’t have 3ds max. SMD files are easy to read and write to because it’s in ASCII so I think i’ll stick with that. Anyways I kind of succeeded in converting EMGs into SMDs and converting SMDs back into EMGs:

However as you can see there’s a hiccup. A few vertices in the inner thigh don’t animate properly. It appears the problem lies in the SMD export. It looks like those vertices aren’t assigned to any bone. Anyone know how I can select individual vertices in Blender and view their x,y,z position and their bone/bone weight assignments? I need to look these vertices up in the SMD’s code and hopefully find out what’s wrong with them.
Just two issues that annoy the hell out of me because I wouldn’t mind using this skin.
Also is it possible you can release the same color as below but without that god awful photoshop/gimp filter? It’s just my opinion but I hate that filter with a passion. Plus it makes everything look low res. If you wouldn’t mind I could do some color mods for your “Mod” if you still have the DDS files without that…Throws up photoshop filter…lol but yeah man this mod is fucking EPIC…but plz credit the people Sir…cuz this is close to becoming a master piece
oh yeah one other thing this skin will shut down AEPC if you pick any color than the default…or is it just me
edit: yeah the original Oni files contain only 1 DDS and your mod contains 4 different DDS…so maybe that’s the reason why it shuts down…you’ll probably need to make 9-11 more colors
