Cool, I think 10-20% reduction would make people look less roid-ish/esque.

Unfortunately, I think that editing anything more than the hands would create a few problems (as Augh said). For example, making characters thinner might require doing something about their shoulder width, which might introduce animation problems.

Also, I would want to know if there’s somebody working on more remake of SFII stages for the training stage, like the Ryu one perfected by Hunterk (btw, incredible work ;)). I would love to see a whome set of those alternative training stages, as my PC is too slow to play at 60FPS with background stages on…except for the training ones^^ (no “then upgrade or die” comments please, I have my reasons playing on this rig, and won’t answer to any kind of provocation).

I looked at some tutorials to edit stages, like a youtube video (don’t find it anymore) and all, but it’s really not my field of expertise at all >_<. So before trying harder, I wanted to know if such a project is under way or not :D.

As for basic materials needed for remixed 2D SFII backgrounds, I found this site which has a lot of amazing art (like the Zangief one). Would making a training stage from those kind of background images be possible ?

Well you can take it as what you want. Basically, I uploaded those files for people that need the original ones in case where the game crashes after bad file swapping without any preliminiary backup of their own.

The only Japanese site is for vanilla mods: http://sf4mod.wikiwiki.jp/

It hasn’t been updated for a while, and most of the mods can be found either on one of the two wikis maintained by the shoryuken folks or in the gamevixenzone forums.
