I’m confused which “#EMG” I’m meant to find as there are a lot in the KEN_01.obj.emo file. As I would like to try placing Ken’s Alternate 3 hair (KEN_04) into Original costume (KEN_01)

If you open the costume in the Asset Explorer, you can see which models correspond to which #EMG.

Is there any way to mod the “super” changes. Such as Makoto’s color change, or Juri, Yun, and Yang’s glowy outline…
I just think it’d be cool as shit if you could make Makoto turn green or blue instead, or make her glow like Yun… I’ve tried swapping stuff in the OBJ.EMMs with no luck at all.

for makoto, at least, I believe you can change her super material over to Oni’s ‘emi’ material and then use the alpha channel to control what glows. I believe that’s what sensibeat did with this one.

Hmm… given this situation, you would also be able to make her clothes glow when she goes super, by replacing the normal stuff with the ‘emi’… Only problem in THIS case… is that you can’t have alpha invisible clothes parts… Does kinda make me wonder if you could make them invisible one way, then have them ‘appear’ during her super… I doubt it. Prolly have to swap brush-types mid battle, and as we know, that’s impossible.

Also, look at what happened when I put Juri’s eye code (from the obj) into Makoto’s body…

With the SSF4AE Costume Manager that was posted in this topic, what does the Restore button do? Does it simply select the 1st original costume for the character? Or does it delete all of the custom costumes that were added for that character? Also, just to be sure, Restore is only for the selected character, right? For some reason, I can’t ever select the 1st default costume. When I hit Apply, I get an error message pop-up. Is that supposed to happen? Any info on this stuff would be greatly appreciated. I am a complete noob with mods. Thanks.

I don´t know, if it is allowed to request here or not… but… I really would like to see a swimsuit attire of C.Viper or/and Chun-Li. Or at least a barefoot attire for them. If there is someone, who could make that possible: It would be amazing! Take care, guys! :slight_smile:

Now with 10 colors. Most are the same colors as the original costume except for a few exceptions: 9 she has a hat back, 8 pink bikini, and 7 left a few camo paint spots on her leg. Also I fixed up a lot of things from my previous version. I used of alpha channels to make the shins and forearms blend better into the original model. You can barely see any sharp creases now. Used hex editing to remove dark ambiant occlusion values from the elbows and knees so the shading matches now. Model edited the shd.emo to remove weird self-shadow effects (before the boots and armguards still casted shadows on the model even after I removed them). Her hat is now removed by alpha channel editing (except for color 9).

So, if his hair is the *10th #*EMG in the Asset Explorer view of the KEN_01.obj.emo, ie:

Then the corresponding EMG “block” from the 19th found “EMG” to the 20th in the KEN_01.obj.emo is the hair?

the restore button sets it to the first costume of the selected character. you cant set the first costume by selecting it in the list, the error is normal. just hit restore when you want the first costume.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking, but if it’s the 10th EMG block in the Asset Explorer, it should be the 10th one in the hex. You want to get the entire section that contains the hair parts, including all of the BHAlf parts, the hair parts, etc. until you get to the next EMG block (the one with the pants). I’m not a pro at the model swapping, though, so if that’s incorrect, anyone can feel free to correct me.
