@mugen: Looks very clean and correct dude, work paid off well. Is that some clever alpha map shenanigens on the battle worn skins? If they are sharing the same model I mean. That’s pretty neat. Only thing that’s popping out at me is; are you sure normals are active on his face? Might just be cause the basketball texture on the shoto bodies is so strong, but he seems suddenly smooth in the face.

@monkeygiga: Throw some screens man, hard to tell much from the asset viewer shots, which seem a little distorted. It looks like you got the Ryu pretty faithful to the concept picture, alls I could really offer for that one is check the shaping of the lower pant legs perhaps, depends how 100% accurate you wanna be. Could throw the knot/bow on at that shoulder too, it took me a while to notice it missing though. Cammy does look a little like she could use the legs, torso and pelvis proportions checking. Either her belt is very low and her torso very short, her crotch very high, or some combination of the above.

Overall they both look pretty on target design-wise.

@monkeygigabuster92, in addition to my feedback and Augh’s, you might want to fluff Cammy’s pants a bit per the concept pic. Seems like the belt on the concept pic is almost on the pelvic area and not on the waist.

The file seems to link material names to vertex and pixel shaders. Now I just need to connect the shader parameters (textures, lighting, etc), etc.
Since we already have a model viewer, I am gonna focus on materials for a while :stuck_out_tongue:

As awesome as that Ken Alpha mod is and as much as i hate to nitpick on it but that belt is rather short, which makes it look a little awkward imo… =/

Thanks guys. With the eye brows, they are sorta limited on that and hairstyles. The eye brows are really thin (like penciled in) or not very SF like so I stuck with the default. They NEED to have a karate gi when the game is released. Check this, one of the taunts to choose from is called the “Quarter Circle Forward + A” …

That’s just how his face is for the normal maps are augh. If you check out his 1st model maps you would see the same kind of smoothness. I also use a lot of transparency, its the same body.

I had to make the belt small because there where no bones to assign the long one to. So i’m sorry it looks a little awkward to you.

We are talking about the confused inner thigh vertices yeah? If they’re doing what I think they’re doing, easiest fix would be (in Max, you may need to translate for other programs) select all left leg verts with “modify envelopes” on your skin modifier checked, open weight tool, and just force a hard type-in 0.0 weight for each right leg bone. Then do the opposite for the right leg (nuke all left leg bones to 0.0), that was the simplest way in the end at least for me. I hate rigging pant legs that cross the model’s center line for this reason. Or you could break each leg to a seperate submesh and just remove all the opposite leg bones that way. If you’re using a Skin Wrap based skinning it can get confused like this at places like inner thighs pretty often.

The spike coming out at his ankle when the leg is bent looks suspiciously like some verts assigned to probably the knee (same leg) which shouldn’t be. Or possibly they just haven’t been weighted (they seem to just be hanging out around where im guessing his leg would have been in bind/model pose).

But yeah I hear you, hate that shit.

Can I just say that even with the thigh issue, that has to be one of my favourite model swaps in SF modding history. Well done!
