USF4 Bugs and improper set character data list. *SUBMITTED TO CAPCOM!*

Wasn’t intentional. The hitbox difference has existed since Vanilla SF4 meaning it was in there since before the infinite was known. Just checked.

Is it me, or does Vipers M Thunder Knuckle start up a bit faster? Will test.

Not looking forward to Juri at all. I gotta compare 3 different versions of every normal attack >_<

In FSE Juri has 2 dif versions of every normal to prevent her from chaining backwards. That is why you can do MP xx MK and you can do MK xx MP but you can’t do MP xx MK xx MP.

That means I need to check the normal version, the FSE version, and the FSE magic series version X_X and for light attacks there is SIX different versions! (Normal, Rapid chain (eg LP xx LP xx LP), FSE Normal, FSE Rapid chain, FSE Magic series, FSE Magic series rapid chain.)

Unlisted Elena passthrough glitches:

Elena vs Balrog, Cammy, Cody, Guile, Vega.

  • Scratch Wheel FADC on crouch hit.
  • Heavy Lynx Tail FADC on crouch hit.
    Dash may need to be delayed for a few frames to work, especially after Lynx Tail.

When decapre does her flash punch if juri does cr.mk point plank or at almost any range really It completely whiffs despite it looking like it should connect. I have not found this to work with any other character.

Juri’s crMK is one of the lowest profile moves in the entire game. Likely Decapre’s sting doesn’t reach all the way to the ground like most SRKs do. Juri can also low profile Fei long’s DP for instance. It’s annoying but intentional.

yeah some slides can low profile her dp too, i think it’s very much intentional.

umm, can you see what the hitstun is on her jump jab/short. they seem to be the shortest in the game by far.

Demonflip Kick does not register as a high attack.
Shoto knee (standing cl.MK) range of execution seems much shorter than normal.
EX Palm travel time is too slow even after being cancelled into from a heavy hit confirm and will often allow the opponent to recover in time to block.

Not a bug but a fair buff he should have gotten:

cl.MP should force stand on hit. This would balance a lot of issues vs small crouching characters.

demonflip divekick was a nerf that was intentional. it hasn’t hit overhead since vanilla

What… wow, I didn’t know that, was it really that broken enough to make an air attack not count as an overhead after vanilla sf4?

It seems easily countered by focus attacks in the recent builds of AE and Ultra.

I have one for Dudley that has been in since Super:

On counter-hit St. HK plays a different sound effect than normal hit.

Elena jump MK on cornered Ryu gets fake crossups on the left side and real crossups on the right side. Also her stand fierce whiffs on a ton of characters post focus. Also her jump LK against a cornered opponent will sometimes be a fake crossup but it seems random and not based on timing. Always upsetting to find differences between corners.

clsMK execution range is the same as all of Gouken’s other normals (1.2), perhaps a pushbox issue due to Gouken being wider than other shotos or just a trick of the eye as it shifts him so far forward normally it seems like he has to be closer than normal to perform it.
EX Palm not working from a heavy hit confirm falls more under the category of “buff request” (even if it’s personally one I think he should have, annoys me too when play him.)

Updated with Rufus, didn’t get to Sakura tonight. Will tackle her tomorrow. Decided I’ll do Sakura, Sagat, THawk, Zangief and then do Juri, Yun, and Yang as the install supers/ultras will take a lot of time for those ones. After that I’ll do the 5 USF4 characters who will likely take the longest time.

If Capcom decides to just ignore things. I hope at least a mod comes out from all this effort to compile these issues. Like the Project M community did.
