My best friend was actually in the group that the kid was in on the NK trip. He said he knew that the kid did it, it was dumb of him, but thinks there’s more to it…like maybe some other stuff he did.
Because he (my buddy) took a flyer and magazine with him (just as much of a no-no) and didn’t receive shit for it. He said that everyone wondered where he was at on the last day, and you could feel in the air that it wouldn’t have been cool to ask about it.
Paraphrasing, but it was a damn good storytelling session that kept us going for hours.

So the whole group was a tour group that arranged this months before, and flew into NK from Beijing (Its the only way to fly into NK). One of the places they went on said tour was the DMZ.
Got it, the DMZ is pretty cool, never experienced it from the NK side though obviously.

I get pretty tired of dipshit Americans going to other countries, not respecting the laws or customs of that country, and then expecting immunity when the gavel of justice falls upon them.
