theres a tournament in syracuse on 6/26. anyone going?
Hey guys, I’m located in Syracuse but I know my friend Glory lives out in New Hartford/Utica. Every once in awhile he comes to Syracuse for our tournaments and casuals.
I put together the 6/26 tournament at E-Gamers in Syracuse and I hope everyone can make it out. I know Buffalo and Albany were planning on making the trip, hopefully Rochester will as well. We have a decent SSF4 crowd here (even though I do not play), there are a lot of guys who session and play online on PSN and/or Live.
If you want to get Upstate players PSN or Live names I’d suggest posting up on Upstatefighting.com. It’s a community fighting game website for Upstate NY where we organize sessions, exchange contact info or talk games. Definitely check it out if you want to get tuned into the area.
I’ll be there. I would say that Upstate NY is most known for their Tekken skills and Soul Calibur (Buffalo / Chacha). Upstate has some of the best in the nation in those games.
I’ve been trying to embrace the Tekken scene since I met these guys so I’m not as hungry for SF4 anymore but I still play it. In Terms of the SF scene in Upstate, there are a decent amount of players but in my opinion, only a few that are very competitive.

i tried to play the game when it first came out and i just dont like the way it plays. maybe i didnt give it enough time.

Any players UP, up-state? As in Ft. Drum? If so, the BOSS facility (315 921 5261) is an awesome venue. They let you sign out consoles for use on their large flat-screens and even have an ok game selection. They don’t have the new end stuff; e.g., they have SFIV but not Super, but it wouldn’t be a problem to just buy a copy and bring it on by. Although it is located on the very opposite end of my barracks, they offer a shuttle and basic pick-up if it is just a few traveling.
edit: I probably won’t be checking up here often, so if anyone on base gets word of this and plays a bit of the SF or VS series (or whatever else you find to be decent and worth giving a shot…I learn quick), hit me up with a text @ 757-528-2726.

Is anyone planning on coming to Syracuse Saturday? Buffalo is planning to bring 8-10 people and I know Albany is coming over as well. If you’re new to the Upstate scene it’d be a great time to meet everyone and get some PSN/XBox tags exchanged as well.
