Play’n’trade in colonie center (right off exit 2 of the Northway) is having a SF4 league that will play on Weds. nights and Sat. nights. Come in and play locals with a chance for some cash!
SF is not the only game going to be played… Tekken, TVC (thanks to MY suggestion ), and any other game for Xbox and PS that gets enough requests will be played. The owners are very open to playing and are involved themselves in the games.
So please, anyone interested come on down and visit. We are trying to make a decent community up here and we’d love to have more players.

Looks like SF gets all the love. Not bad considering there hasn’t been a hardcore scene around here for years. Guess I’ll be playing this until Tekken 6 comes out.
Yea hopefully you guys do after i get the parts in which will take a bit, i plan on making a 360 custom stick and a ps2 one. Ill play tekken with you guys even though its a learning experience for me atm.
Ken was teaching me some stuff on tekken 5 so hopefully when i get a stick for the ps2 ill play more since it sucks on pad. Plus im maining asuka just cuase you all hate on her so much lol.
lol The Realyst was right. Everyone who comes off a different fighting game and tries to learn Tekken always mains Asuka. I never understood that either. I don’t hate her, I just have matchup problems with her. She’s pretty good in 6, so go for it.
Until I replace it, I dont think I’ll be playing SFIV on stick. I cant get double fireball motions without a shoryu coming out. And I kind of wanna pick up Ken.
Paul - What’s the default joystick for the high end SFIV stick?
I meant the actual stick thats in it. I just remember reading that it would be Sanwa parts. The one in the low end stick feels exactly like a Hori stick, which is why I can’t play SF with it. I’m assuming the defaultt stick in the high end one is also squared like this one. I dunno, maybe I just need to break it in, if not I’ll have to replace th stick. The buttons could be a bit better as well. Should be nice with some HAPP parts in it.

Everything in that stick is hori stock parts. The stock stick i feel is good, this is coming from someone who has only used an authentic sanwa once. The buttons are all hori buttons as well.
And BlueFlamingo it was all about having a good time even though you sounded like you were having more fun than everyone else there lol. I wont be there the next 2 sats. But ill be there these next 2 weds. Atm you are the biggest comp (while sober) besides the guy who beat me in the tournament which i got to fight 2xs on saturday, but ive learned his game so i think i can beat him consistently now.
i still dont know how to play SF at all. true story… I never played 3S for more than 5 minutes, didnt play SF2, didn’t play alpha, didn’t play HDremix, nothin. This game is so silly compared to tekken, I am actually unsure if I want to put myself through the headache of figuring it out. I ordered a wii hori today so I can play TVC tho

I live in Guilderland. Might show up at Play n Trade sometime. I’m more of a PC FPS player though but I might get back into fighting games with SFIV, kinda sad to hear upstate is mostly Tekken players :(. Pretty much stopped playing after dreamcast cause I hate 3d fighters.
Your not alone man. Im only picking up tekken because alot of the players up here like it. I will always play 2dfighters closer to heart especially sf. At the launch tournament (the saturday after release) we had at least 25ish ppl show up for the double elimination tourney. I have met a few ppl who are good at pad there even a claw player using the 360 remote as his default controller lol. But there are players come by and give it a shot.
