Updated..

I just added 8 more character drawings to my temp site; http://apathy-inc.deviantart.com/
They’re a freebie I did for www.combovideos.com to be colored by Ron and used for a new banner.
Attached is one.

Good shit man I’m loving the GG pages!

really nice stuff, Apathy.
The flame on Ken’s SRK would look better if it spiralled a bit, imho.

good stuff,
cheers!

Hrmm…I hadn’t thought of that. Maybe the colorist will think to add it?

I love your work

Great work, and thanks again. Just waiting for Ron to color these beauties.

Also, I need to put up a wallpaper section again on CV.

THose are some really nice pictures, would you like to share how you did the scanning? (To get the lineart so “crisp”)

great drawing apathy. Here is what i see.

The head is tilted way too far. Angle it up with the rest of the body using a guide line. The perspective of the boot seems a bit off. the leg isn’t in extreme perspective to curve upwards like that. The foot is a little pudgy and i think you could add more dynamics to it and have more shape cause i can’t feel the ground beneath her. You need more arch for dynamics from the knee downwards as it is too striaght-edged right now. Bottom half from knee down usually tilts back more. Her shoulder should counter the head movement more if she were to throw a kikosho.

Overall this is a very nice drawin ap inc. Hope to see more.

Good shit man, I really liked your stuff.

Keep up the good work.

Scan it at 300 dpi in Grayscale.
Toss it up in Photoshop(I use 7), and press Shift+Control+L. (which is the same as Image - Adjustments - Auto Levels.
Then I go to Select - Color Range, pick out the white or non-gray spots, then click Ok. Once all of the areas around the art are selected, I just Backspace.

I then go to Image - Image Size… then change the dpi/resolution to 72 and Save As… a jpg. (for posting and whatnot…should have it around 80K - 160K) :encore:

Also, I pencil as tight as possible (lightbox roughs) and make sure I clean it up a little in PS, while I’m whitening the whites. You know, for little specks and such that might be on the scanner.

It seems a little more complicated than it actually is. I’ve scanned so much stuff it just takes me 30 seconds.

SFMC: thanks for the info.
