Guys i just thought of this. I’m not sure if anyone uses it already but i think it could work as an ok OS against teleport chars such as sim seth or akuma. Anyway what about an df palm os df on wakeup? If they teleport you will automatically df and you can whiff palm, land right next to them and punish.
Even if you OS another demon flip it would seem like there wouldn’t be enough time to punish. With Dhalsim and Bison can’t you just walk up and sweep them? That or isn’t there the Raging Demon/HK hurricane kick OS?
Maybe it’s just me sucking at it, but if I don’t anticipate it a LOT against those two, I’m not gonna punish it just by walking and sweeping.
It’s been mentioned in the OS thread, for example safejump OS MK DF will automatically punish both of Akuma’s back teleports with the slide. IIRC you can punish both of Sim and Bison’s teleports too with something like OS MK DF then reaction grab, if there’s enough time to whiff palm and fully punish that would be awesome too.
Tokido has been doing this for months vs akuma…it does work. Vs bison it’s a bad idea because if he does wakeup ex stomp you’re gonna get hit for 200 damage
yeah, it’s a very good OS against akuma and will autocorrect if done right (timed late off a late demon flip dive kick). the OS is supposed to hit akuma with the palm, not land and punish.
vs. Bison i think i’ve seen tokido does a normal jump OS, not flip; forward to beat teleports, and backward to beat ex psycho crusher. also it’s not really a bad idea to do the OS, since it’s really not a good idea for bisons to wake up stomp. honestly though, most of the time, good bisons won’t wake up wit anything
Against THawk, what are some good/safe jump-in attacks after a knockdown? THawk’s wake-up “dp” attack seems to anti-air anything I try - almost as bad (godlike) as Adon’s jaguar knee.

This was probably already covered, but can someone please give me confirmation on this: Rufus with 3 bars can actually safely cancel his Messiah?
I mean, when he does EX Messiah and follows up with LK (I think it’s LK, the follow up I’m referring to is the one where he hits with the stomach and does some sort of backflip), it is not possible for Akuma to reversal anything before the followup, right?
I tried reversaling stuff but nothing would actually come out, Gouki was blocked by blockstun. It was still possible to punish the blocked backflip, but I really couldn’t make anything come out between his Messiah and the backflip…
I recur it’s not the first time you suggest this Sarda, if you got enough time on your hands (to keep it updated etc) you could open it…
Yep he is almost completely safe on it. The best I have gotten with a delayed LK follow up is maybe one hit with EX SRK or a trade with HP.SRK. It isn’t worth mashing reversal for.
Basically if Rufus is sitting on 3 bars you know a random Messiah is coming.

And that’s when you start doing back teleports during your blockstrings and demon his ass with U2.
If rufus doesn’t have 3 bars it’s a guaranteed U2, no matter what he does. just mash u u KKK like a madman and as soon as there is time U2 will hit him.
If he has 3 bars you can bait him with teleports or meaty him with c.lk so that his messiah will whiff and you can punish with a combo or U2
ok…asking about blanka and rose matchup again. or mostly character with slide buttons.
those slides…they really kill me.
to deal with those slides(ibuki/guy/rose) i’ve been suggested to stay outside the slide spot and whiff punish it. but, i have to be so far out of poking range it will be dumb for opponent to do that slide instead they try to keep walking up closer and i’ll end up in corner.
am i going wrong somewhere?
and btw especially with rose slide, why is it that she get so much priority on block? if she’s within her range she can even grab which disgust me. i was thinking why in high level matches i don’t see those slide happening as much…something i don’t understand.
also seth’s…those neutral jump hp. they keep me at bay so much i feel like i couldn’t do anything…but watching infilitration vs poongko why isn’t that seems to be any threat to infiltration at all? i actually didn’t see any neutral jump hp much.
i can’t get much reference from high level play since those rose don’t even bother to slide much and i wonder why am i being abused by slide day in day out.
i feel like i lack some understanding of the game which in turn gets me losing all the time. my opponent knows that slide is enough to kill me which is irritating.
any help here?
and i played a blanka match…i thought supposingly to be 5-5 but lately i feel its 6-4 again(for me). i played a blanka that totally tries to play like mizoteru against momochi. can’t do anything feel crippled.
