Good Zero overall, but I never see you really go for any resets or true mixups. Zero is godlike in that department, and you should be abusing that power. Also, you should always try to know your charge time for Buster Shots. I see you dropped a pretty big combo because you let out a level 2. I personally always keep my buster shot charged and I know how long it takes to reach level 3, so I find myself doing countdowns in my head. Another thing I noticed was that you call unsafe assists a lot. You should really make it a point to assess the situation and ask yourself “will it be safe to call this assist right now?” Sentinel can die VERY easily from a botched assist now. It’s very important to be careful with it.
Also, I would recommend using Viper’s OTG assist to help you extend combos and get the most damage you can with Zero. Her Thunder Knuckle assist is garbage.
But yeah, just keep playing, visit the lab often, and you’ll find that your Zero play will improve VERY quickly, especially if you’re anything like me. Zero just feels “right” to me, and he’s the character that I feel I’ve leveled up with the most in the short time the game has been out. You just have to plug in the right amount of effort.
Yeah as said Im still working out of the Tatsunoko Zero where the Time for charge was Shorter and more about Long combos then mixups. A lot of my Bad habits are from TVC so Im making the Transition. I use Sentinel A LOT during Pressure not for chip but for Block stun gaps and to cloud of the screen so I can Dash mix up. I like my Zero into Viper Snap in to DHC combo, so Ill try her Siesmo assist.

Megaman Steve and I went a few rounds online. Produced real hype. Also good demonstrations of Zero’s super jump height game. It’s surprisingly effective.

Just recently started playing Zero A/Doramammu A/Doom A, don’t have access to the game right now or I would test it myself, but would this and the the 2 assist combos work with this setup or would damage/hitstun scaling kill it?
great find man. i’ve been trying to get this setup to work with my team assist but i just cant get it… i play storm (whirlwind) and trone (gustaff flame) also are you tiger kneeing the lightning dash? whats the notation for it? thanks
That was some solid play right there. I see a lot of people using the DHC glitch with Zero but i personally don’t because they will eventually patch all that stuff out of the game including the shadow clone loops (Lightning included) and i don’t want to rely on something they can and will take away. But I can’t fault you for using it when, as is always with Capcom, they’ll nerf Zero into the ground but leave ridiculous characters like Wesker and Akuma untouched lol.
I’m envious of you American’s! Here in the UK we have pretty much no fighting game scene barely no arcades outside of London, no Bi-weekly meet up casuals or anything. Not to mention it seems no one is playing MvC3 online here either so every game i do get Zero is useless because the lag is so severe.
