Match against Master CJ against a florida tourney called tampa never sleeps. Could have won the match had I not dropped the combo in the 3rd match against his dormammu using the ammy ender.

Yeah he fell through the coldstar, that happens sometimes with that finisher. Also at 1:52-ish, I’ve had the same thing happen to me when fighting dorm. For some reason, when zero launches him after a ground series mid screen, the first j.m crosses under sometimes causing the combo to drop. I played around with that in training mode and you just have to hit j.m as soon as possible so you won’t cross under. This also happens with nemesis. Maybe it has something to do with their hurt boxes or the angle at which they are launched, I dunno. But it’s fixable.
Masta CJ moved to FL this week and I was also in attendance of Tampa Never Sleeps along with Phil.
I was his first match with my Zero/Ryu/Wesker team. I had some critical drops that costed me the game sadly because I was so nervous.

Rewatching my match with this in mind, it happened to me too in the 3rd game.
Yeah that sucks. It’s little things like this that can cost people matches. But it’s okay, that’s what the forums are for
So far, the only 2 characters I’ve seen this happen with is nemesis and dorm (maybe they have similar hurt boxes?.) Tomorrow I’ll test every character to see who else has this issue and I’ll post what I find.
Thanks again Ramza for those pieces of info. And you are totally right little things like that could cost the game especially when every hit counts when going up against a high level tournament player. If you do test it out can you post here as well? I’m trying to prepare as much as I can for Final Round 15.
think it’s due to the fact that their legs have no hurt-box when they are in the air, so zero crosses under them at times
I tested all characters and only nemesis and dorm have this problem. I found you won’t cross under them until you hit them in the air, so actually the best and easiest way around this is to simply delay your air series. Do this and you will never drop a simple ground series to air series against dorm or nem again.
